Do you have a hill top research in your area? That gets me out of house, mtg people while getting an honorarium (income) for being a participant. Then, I vltr for an organization fruitshare.ca in summer, and vltr for Seniors without walls in winter.
They also have interesting things just 1-2 a year like
bunching tulips tog for their lung association fundraising.
Along with those fundraising comes a vltr brunch appreciation night. (free meal)
What's the latest with your health? Sure hope things are going well....
Can you believe how fast the holidays are creeping up! I am making placemats for the boys using Star Wars fabric. They actually will use them! They were in a Fun Run race at a local apple festival. Usually, they screw around waving to the crowd or running backwards. this time they decided to try. They coming to the finish line and the youngest was winning...they started fist fighting!!! They rolled across the finish line...We were laughing so hard about wet my pants. Our son was being interviewed by the paper because he had won the 18 mile race. He could have died from embarrassment...I told him payback hurts!!!!
The cause of my eye problem could be from bad surgery, then having another surgery to correct first a few months later. Too much swelling, which can cause you to go blind. It also could be something else, like in our genes.
Thanks, Shannon, but I think I've decided to just use a suitable substitute from my stash. It will be fine. I'll probably be the only one it bothers - or maybe who even notices. I'm on a deadline with this one, otherwise I'd take you (and everyone else) up on the offer. I was just a little frustrated because what should have taken me a couple of hours to whip up has turned into a longer project. I am over my "rant" and realize this is a very small problem in the bigger picture, so I'll just roll with it and use something else. I'd like to think it was a mechanical mistake - like something done at a factory (do they use machines to cut bundles of FQs?) rather than a deliberate deception at the quilt shop.
Hope all is well with you. We've had really nice days mixed in with bitterly cold days. Seems like the weather can't make up its mind, so we've had some 73 degree days followed by days of subzero temps.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my first blog entry! Not only couldn't I believe she'd saved that darn coat for over 20 years, but I don't know where she had it hiding! It may have just been hanging in her closet all that time! lol
Hello! I usually keep my hair braided or pulled back. I probably should be a short hair gal, because I don't like hair in my face. It works the best when I was spending a lot of time outside helping DH. I could come in after working outside and not have "hat hair."
No snow yet, but it could be coming this week. We've actually had pretty mild temps, outside of a bitter cold snap in early September. Go figure.
DD is a stay-at-home-mom. They are sacrificing a paycheck, but they just live more conservatively and make do. She just feels strongly about wanting to be a full-time parent. She keeps her eyes open for work-at-home opportunities, but for now, things are working out for them.
Hope your scan comes back with good news and that you are able to find something to do that you enjoy. Great hearing from you! Take care.
