About Me
Hello,
I am a stay at home wife and mom. I have a great husband and two wonderful boys. One who has special-needs, so outside of being his full time cargiver, teacher, etc, I find my refuge in God and in my sewing room. I love to embroider, sew and quilt. Although I am still learning alot, so any advice would be appreciated and I don't get a chance to attend many classes. I have purchased books, dvds etc. I love to read as well. Hope to meet some new people with some of the same interests.
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, applique, machine quilting, embroidery
My pets are awesome!
Zek, Zoey, (dogs) Callie, Tiger (cats)

Thank you to my QWU family on the passing away of my Mother....

Posted on October 11, 2012 at 1:01pm 11 Comments

I would like to extend a special "Thank you " to all of you on QWU that left comments in regards to the passing away of my mom. As Linda Sue posted she had Lukemia and battled it for 15 years....the last few years were the hardest. I knew that God would soon take her from us, but the timing was a little sooner than expected. We had her funeral on Saturday, October 6. That was one of the hardest things to do... But God has given me nothing but his excellent Mercy and Grace over the last week, I… Continue

There are alot of us on here and we all want to share our pics of our work ( ufo's and finished projects etc.) as well as our families and things sometimes. Why not send your suggestions to the Administration and allow them to choose what is best for all of us. Granted we all have a way we would like to do things, but they are just trying to protect our privacy and our images!!! At one point I wanted to put up pics of my family but because of hackers and the ones that don't have anything…

Hello everyone.

I wanted to share with you what happened today. As some of you know my youngest Danny has special-needs. We started a new class today, music therapy through distance learning. He got to go live with a class of other special-needs kids and they did their music therapy. They listen to different types of music and are playing with instruments at the same time. They may all have a drum or bells etc and are going to the beat. They even did the hand-jive!! Remember that…

Hello Everyone...

I want to wish all of you a Happy New Year!!! I personally am ready for this one to be over as it has been a year of test and trials, changes and  victories. I have to say don't give up on your dreams and prayers, in his time he will answer. ( He graced me this year with a victory in my families life that has been going on for 10 years).God has brought me through all of it with more wisdom, and closer to him. I will have to agree with Linda, we have to give him our…

Hope your Thanksgiving went well.  We went to another couples home for dinner and all I had to make was the green bean casserole.  How easy is that?

Thanks for adding me as a friend Sharon. So sorry for the loss of your mother, it gets easier with time, but we will always miss them.  It must be difficult with a special needs child, glad you have an outlet in your quilting.

Hi Sharon, I posted a picture on my page of the quilt where I used the eagle feather border.  Hope you were successful in finding some of that yardage for your quilt.

Hi Sharon, any luck on the eagle feather border fabric?  Just thinking about you and hope all is well.

Hi Sharon, That feather border would be perfect for your eagle quilt.  I got mine at a quilt shop in S. Dak.  It is from the Cowboys & Indians line from Maywood Studios of several years ago.
