My husband and I have been married 48 years and have had the pleasure of raising our two wonderful sons, Daniel and Jonathan. Unfortunately, we lost our oldest son Daniel in 1997 to leukemia. Bittersweet though, he and his wife had a beautiful daughter, Katelyn, now 20 years old and a sophomore at Kent State. Our youngest son, Jonathan, is a band director in southern Ohio for grades 5 through 12. Jonathan and his wife Kim just celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary and have the cutest, black and white cat named Elphaba, named after the misunderstood witch in the musical "Wicked". Jonathan and Kim are the proud parents of our beautiful, three year old granddaughter, Zoe Eponine Kelsey. What a joy--she is Grandma and Grandpa's little princess.
We have had the pleasure of retiring to Zanesville, this past November, 2016, to reside just a short distance from Jonathan, Kim and Zoe and are enjoying every minute.
I have been sewing since junior high school through a 4-H group. My interests include general sewing, quilting, paper piecing and machine embroidery. I work full time, so my "outside" hobby usually takes a backseat to the necessary tasks of life.

Sharon, have you noticed that several of the OH quilters are getting together near Columbus on Sept 22? Are you free that day and interested in going? Barring any changes, I plan on it and we'll have to check with Penny when she comes ashore!
Thank you for the birthday wishes! Please take a picture of your baby quilt - working on one myself for Vicki Fahner's son Eric and his wife who are expecting a little boy in November. Hope to see you soon!
