I have a bunch of photos on "MY Page" that I want to delete. Is there a way to do this besides doing only one at a time? It will take me forever

Sharing The Quilting From the Heart IX Quilt Show with you

Posted on February 25, 2009 at 5:19pm 1 Comment

I had the opportunity to go and enjoy the Quilting from the Heart IX Quilt Show in Titusville, FL on Friday, Feb. 20th. I had an awsome time...all by myself.... The quilts were beautiful and I couldn't get over how many were hand quilted. I think I took a picture of almost every quilt there. There were only about 20 vendors, but that's ok. I was able to get some 1930s flour sacks (or something like that) for my mom. I also got her some charm squares. I got some really pretty blue material for… Continue

CORRECTION/UPDATE

Posted on January 24, 2009 at 4:57pm 5 Comments

I would like to make it absolutely clear that I did not make the quilts posted today. I took pictures of quilts at the quilt show to show the amazing work I was able to view. I made the simple rail fence (purple, peach & print) and I also made the placemats and potholders, etc.... I just do not want anyone to think I am taking credit for any of this gorgeous work.

Florida Cabin Fever Quilters Guild QUILT FEVER 2009

Posted on January 24, 2009 at 3:00pm 4 Comments

Ok, so ysterday I went with a friend and a friend of hers to the Quilt Show in Orlando, FL. I wished I had a million dollars and I HUGE sewing house and I didn't have to work (not that I am not, but I'm looking). There were so many things there that I wanted to buy and try. There were also some gorgeous quilts. I will post some pictures.

Then today, I decided I wanted to go back and do some more looking and there was a place there that had some awesome beads. I went a little over… Continue

I'm Done!

OK, so I am done putting everything away. YAYYYYY. It took all day, but I have completed the task. Now we shall see if everything is where I want it. Most everything fit back in. I had to relocate my stash of bags, purses, and a tote of picture frames that I have yet to complete refinishing. Ok, so now I have to work on the livingroom. I'm not looking forward to that. Later folks.

Hello Sheila.. I'm doing well, our weather is still pretty cool, it's an unusual year this year, it has been so chilly for the last couple of months, and we are really needing some moisture in our area too.
We haven't had any moisture at all since mid March, and then only a little, we barely had any snow over the winter.
Glad you like my profile picture, it was taken at a resort in Ocho Rios Jamaica, our oldest daughter got married there on St. Patricks Day this year, we had a great time there are really want to go back there again, the beach was super and the people there were great too! The wedding was beautiful and our daughter's looked beautiful... our youngest daughter was the maid of honor ... it was a great time!
I am busy getting ready for my Dad's 90th Birthday tea and family supper on Sunday, we are expecting over 100 people for the tea, and somewhere in the neighbourhood of 50 for the supper, so it will be a very busy weekend for us. Thankfully I have 2 sisters and 1 sister-in-law that are all helping out.
Hope you have a great weekend, and a special mother's day!

Mt friend Koleen and I are going up to Houlton soon to spend a few days with a mutual friend - we will hit Brewer, Presque Isle, Madawaska and then Ellsworth on the way home - like I need another piece of fabric!! LOL But the deals a just too good to pass up - great fabrics too!! Get your butt up here girl!! The savings alone is worth the trip!

Now Sheila, what does a girl from Cocoa Beach FL know about Marden's? Oh, now I remember, you have Maine ties don't you? Have you been up here to Marden's or does your kin send you fabric or just boast about the deals!! LOL Yes, I got that (and a whole lot more!) at Marden's.

Hi Sheila... my fish stay in the pond for the winter, we have a pond heater that we keep plugged in, this winter has been a very long cold winter for us in Saskatchewan, so we've had it plugged in pretty much the whole winter, but when the winters have been a little milder we just plug the heater in when it's really cold for more than a day or two.

Hi Sheila, the pillowcase dress is made from a pillowcase. You use a pattern from online and then embroidery of the dress. The little girls next door are 2 and 1 years old and I will be making them matching dresses. The bottom of the pillow case makes the hem.

Hi Sheila-
We're in Maitland, outside of Orlando. My husband is setting up a research dept. at Orlando Regional so we have been down from Syracuse, NY for a month and have one more to go. This was a rough winter in NY so a good time to be here.
