- I'm a native New Mexican (I love my green chilies) who grew up in Florida. I'm an alumni of Florida State University and a TKE frater. I'm also married to the BamaSteelMagnolia, Beverly Hicks Burch.
I am a new quilter. Beverly and I are finishing up my first project (picture to come later), but I already have ideas in my head for my next project. I discovered quilting after Beverly and I married and I think quilting appealed to me personally because I had originally entered college as an art major. It fills that need to be creative. I really would like to become a machine quilter!
Besides quilting, Beverly and I like to cook together. I love my Weber grill! I'm thinking of entering the world or woodworking. I like to read, love music (just recently discovered bluegrass). Beverly and I have talked about taking up the hobby of stain glass making and translating our designs into quilts. I have briefly worked in stain glass in the past.
I have spent my career in business and the last quarter of the centery or more specalizing in Operations Management working for companies like Baker-Hughes, Gateway Computer, Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico and Sitel/ClientLogic. I currently work for a company named Chamberlain Access Solutions.
I have a lovely daughter from previous marriage who has given me two precious grandchildren. Beverly has a son from a previous marriage.

Do you quilt along with your guy or is that his "hobby"? I am sure that you help pick and choose fabrics and or colors, if nothing else and that is pretty important!
Hope to hear more from you SF and will look forward to seeing pictures too!
