Susan--welcome to Around the Frame--it's a great group, and I have learned so much. You had asked a question about Kona muslin--I use it all the time, but I would caution you that they also have a 200 count specifically for machine quilting. I bought some for a backing by mistake at JoAnn's. That was a 108" wide back. The regular Kona is wonderful to quilt through though. Check the end of the bolt and see what it says. By the way, Moda muslin is great too. Happy quilting---look forward to seeing your quilt!
Hi Susan...welcome to "Around the Quilt Frame:Hand Quilters." This is a very friendly and helpful group. When I had a question about hand piecing, several ladies in this group were very helpful and invited me to join and I am glad that I did. Since then they have helped me with other questions as well. Glad that you decided to join us.
Hi Susan and I would like to welcome you to Quilt With Us. I noticed your question in the Chat Room and I posted my answer there. But was not sure if you would go back so I am posting my answer here also. My current hand quilted project is being done with the Kona muslin and I am having no problems quilting it by hand.
