About Me
I'm a 59 year old happily married to my best friend, mother of 2 thirty something sons, 2 wonderful d-i-l's and one precious granddaughter. I have sewn since I was 10, have always done needlework and began quilting in 1972. We spend half our time in Cold Lake where we've lived for 25 years and the other half on a 7 acre piece of heaven outside Rocky Mountain House where we will retire to full-time in 6 months.

Hey gyrll...how'z ya doin? Getting chilly here and rain in the forecast...I'm presently hand quilting a small wall hanging (read: big block) started in a class at IQF yearz ago, haha. Also sense the move to tidy/clutter-bust my quilting studio. Yeah, like that will happen soon, lol! Thanks for your photo comment...I'm still walking the park every day or riding my bike through it! Cheerz!

Thanks Susan. I had fun making it and was a bit surprised that my DIL liked it - she's very traditional when she decorates or buys clothes for herself. I must say that she seems to be more funky when it comes to clothes for Lily. The Christening is tomorrow - I also found a cute Hallmark Baby's first Christmas ornament that I'm gonna put with it.

Yes, IQF was grand...spurns me on to do "my own thing".

Sounds like a great idea to me. I think I will try that. I don't get to be the passenger very often when we go since we always take my car, but when I do, I need something to keep my eyes off of the road. HAHAHA. Scary. Thanks for the idea. Have a blessed day.

Oh, I saw a great one with lots of lace and embroidery while we were on vacation this summer. I took pictures of it and might try to do something like ti. I was white, cream, and tea dyed fabrics dripping with lace and frou-frou stuff. Really awesome.

Once all of my Christmas gifts are done, journaled, and posted I think I will start on an art quilt. It may be a work in progress for a while, since I also have some bed quilts to make for around here. It seems all of our quilts are wearing out this year. Popped seams and frayed bindings are the main problems and will get taken care of as I get to them. Most are quilts we bought before I got into quilting myself.
