About Me
Retired 7+ years now and LOVE being retired!
Married, husband retired as well. Have 31 yr old son and granddaughter who is 8 1/2 years old.
Started quilting in late 70's but then quit after a divorce for a while. After I had my dating time in and met my current husband of 23 years now, we moved to MT 23 years ago. Went to a Christmas party and a Santa wall hanging was given away and I didn't win it! I figured if she could do it, then so could I. So took class in fusible applique and that set me off on many years of passion quilting! Can't collect enough patterns now and will need to live to be at least 150 with good eyesight and no arthritis!
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, applique, paper piecing, machine quilting, embroidery
My pets are awesome!
Teddy Bear, he's my buddy! 10 lb cock-a-poo and Maltese mix. Plus now we have Chocolate, 12 lb long hair Chihuahua. What a pair they make!

Congratulations on your ribbons on your quilts.  You did a great job on those quilts and I do like the Crabapple Hill one.  Those patterns get addicting, don't they?

Sylvia,  We had a guild speaker this week who had her patterns for sale and the antique sewing machine pattern was included in her display.  She has a website www.shellyburge.com. You might check to see if the pattern is on her site.  Good luck. (The borders on mine were of my own design tho.)

Sylvia, I do not recall the name of the pattern with the antique sewing machines.  A friend gave me the machine patterns and I created my own little quilt design from it. If I run across the pattern I'll let you know, but I'm not sure the name is on what I had.

Sylvia, thank you for your nice comments on my "Memories" quilt.  It was the 1st time I had tried the crayon coloring, heat setting, then embroidery.  It took a while to finish, but I used most of the embroidery as travel stitchwork. You must try this one if you already have the pattern, and yes, I used rick rack for the border accent.

I love looking at your pictures as they scroll while I am typing.  I have done a few of those patterns as well.

RE: witches shoes/elves shoes!! what a great idea!!! i always wonder why my brains doesn't work like that. i can embellish till the cows come home, but when it comes to thinking up something like the shoes, well, i am totally lame. I want to do one RIGHT NOW!!!! gee, Sylvia, your quilts are fabulous!! and to think that these are all a result of seeing one wall hanging! thanks for thinking of me. i sure do appreciate it.....and hope you get that photo.
