About Me
I am a recent transplant to Germany, coming from Minnesota. My husband is the military, and we just got assigned our first base. We will be here for a long time, and since I am so far from family, will be sewing more than ever. I have a little boy who just turned 3, so he keeps me on my toes, and somewhat limits sewing time. Am looking forward to all the new ideas and helpful tips I can learn, as I am still a fairly new quilter.

I'll soon be re-united!

My sewing machine is only a week away. I haven't been able to sew or quilt for 10 WEEKS! Before I left I had started a new queen sized quilt for me, had patterns and matterial for wallhangings and tablerunners and now I've ordered two kits form the snowdays collections for Christmas presents, I can't wait to get started! Where is my sewing machine?!

Acutally, I know where it is, sitting at the port authority in Germany, waiting to get crossed off a check list so I can get it home. I am going a little crazy at the moment, since I haven't had my sewing machine since late May. So, today, I went and found this site! My husband is the military, and we just got our first station in Germany! Welcome, Tamitha! I'm a Minnesotan, too. Where are you from? I live in Owatonna.
You will love this site. It has become a daily must for me to check in and see what all the online "friends" are up to. I'm not, and never have been from IA, but I joined the Iowa Quilters group under meet and share. We have a ball just bouncing our conversations back and forth.
I've been quilting since before you were born (that's scary), myself, but will be glad to give you all the help I can. Hang in there waiting for that sewing machine. Hope it arrives soon.
