About Me
I have worked at Connecting Threads since August of 1995 - I started when I was really young :). Over the years I've had many jobs and many titles (some official some not) but I have been in my current position for the longest. My title is Director of Fabric to most and to some Fabric Diva (I'm not sure if it's because if it has to do with fabric everyone comes to me or if it's because I'm really bossy). With the title comes the responsibility that encompasses almost anything having to do with fabric. I oversee everything from coming up with and styling the fabric collections to ordering them to making sure the kits get cut and ready for purchase. I also do an assortment of other things such as help layout the catalog, choose patterns, order and create new colors for Essential Thread, etc and so forth! Outside of work I like to of course quilt (although I'm fairly new still), knit, read, wool applique and spoil my cat Barkley. My husband and I have a little boy named Tyler.
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, applique, embroidery, knitting, gardening
My Pets
One big furry beautiful cat named Barkley

When I got out my Halloween decorations this year I realized that I really didn't have many. I have so many Christmas decorations that I really didn't worry about any other holidays. I did have a few Halloween and fall decorations that I put out every year but not that I have Tyler I realized that I was going to have to step up my game. I wa… Continue

I'm quilting again - wahoo! It felt sooooo good! I've been dying to do something creative and it's been getting worse since I came back to work. I really love the Welcome Sampler pattern from Vicki Bellino and I didn't really feel like finishing any of the old projects I have so I decided to start a new one! I dug into my stash (diape… Continue

Yeah - we finally were able to get together and have my baby shower! Since Tyler decided he wanted to come on April 30th and my shower was scheduled for May 5th we had to postpone it. We decided to have it on what was supposed to be my due date which was June 9th. I was very excited to be able to come in and see everyone and they were excite… Continue

Hi Teri! I have been very busy lately. My sister-in-law had a total knee replacement and I went down to her house in Savannah for a few days to help her get back on her feet so to speak. She's doing great. I had made some placemats and a Halloween wall hanging that just needed the binding sewn on, so those were the projects I took with me. I'll post them as soon as they're finished. I looked at your pics and I can't believe how big Tyler has gotten!!! He's so adorable. Thanks for checking in on me. I have a lot of Christmas projects to do and my machine is acting up again. I have to take it back to the shop next week. The embroidery part keeps pulling the bobbin thread to the top and all you can see on the design is white bobbin thread and a little bit of color. UUUUGGGHHHHH! This will be the third time I've had to take the machine in since I bought it in May. Anyway, have a great night and I'll talk to you soon! Alicia

Hi Terri,
Thank You!
Going by your comment, I also wonder who took my sweet baby girl and left this rotten teenager, just joking, she is a good kid.
They grow up way to fast. Hard to believe she will be 17 in March. Really sad actually. She is my only one.
I also love your quilting projects, and all the baby pictures who could resist looking at.
I am glad you had a good night Saturday. I call this neighborhood the black hole. Sadly there wasn't many children or houses participating again. I hope it will be better when we move to GA this month.
Take Care
Renee

Your baby is adorable. So are your projects. I started with this website when you did the Lets Do Lunch group. Are you planning anything like that again? I loved meeting different quilters and sharing projects. Never had done anything like that before. Thanks for a great site!

I thought so. I'll settle for Auntie Kim. I have seen kids out in public that I think are adorable and have considered giving their parents a business card for my daycare. I haven't done it yet as I am worried they may think I'm a stalker.

Teri,
I am jealous that you get the sunflowers too. I have to laugh because I have been looking in my stash for just the right fabric to make the sunflowers out of. Have a good weekend.
