Speckled Hen Quilt Shop

On July 18, those of you that are in the Portland Oregon area can go to Wisonville and sell your stash at the stash busting sale the Speckled Hen Quilt shop is having. They are charging $15 a table and you can sell, trade or barter anything related to quilting. Good time to clean out the stash and buy what you just have to have! Sounds like fun...............

Don't do it!

All wallpaper should come with a big red sign on it saying...At some point you are going to want to remove this wonderful wallpaper. Think twice before installing. Enough said, I want to be quilting instead of trying to remove wallpaper paste from the bathroom wall.

Vintage quilt question

Each has different numbers and a variety of prices. The quilt is darling, four patches, half square triangles and is hand stitched. I love the… Continue

What do you mean by internet quilts? Do you both make the same quilt and share, or do you just post your progress on a blog????????????

Thanks, the beige quilt is wool front back and in the middle, really too heavy to sleep under, so it hangs on my bedroom wall most of the time. I do love to applique but also enjoy hand piecing as crazy as that is. The sewing machine is work to me hand work is enjoyment. I do have a nice quilting room and a good machine with good work space but I do prefer the hand work. So I am glad to hear that other still like to do it. Machine work is fine but it is not the same . Speed is not important to me. I do believe that I get more done by hand because I love to do it.

Thanks for your good wishes and the same to you.

I think the dark fabric would look nice on the outside border of the block.
I can't wait to see it.
