Hi Terry, thanks for asking me to be your friend.  Looking forward to our chats together but I must warn you that I am not on here very often.  I used to be on all the time but found I wasn't getting anything else done.  Sorry it has taken me so long to answer your friend request but that is only because I haven't been on this site for quite some time.  About your sewing machine, sorry I cannot help you.  I am in the same boat.  Would like a new machine that does the blanket stitch but not sure what I want and don't want to spend a lot of money on something I am not going to use.  Take care and let me know if you get a new machine and what you purchased.  Have a great day!

Good morning Terry, Your a girl after my own heart. I made many of my boys clothes when they were little and all of my own clothes and now I sew for their kids. I had a cake decorating business for 30 years. I had to give it up due to arthuritis in my hands. It got to be painful making the flowers. I'm also new to this site. I was 20 when I bought my first machine and have been sewing ever since. You mentioned your looking for an embroidery machine. I bought mine in 2001 and looked at several before deciding to get a Husqvarna/Viking Designer1 and I have never regretted it. I love this machine. I have the Husqvarna serger910 also and love that as well. I would buy the newest model but it's around 8-9 thousand dollars and I really don't "need" it. lol And I just don't have that kind of money kicking around in my pocket at the moment. lol
I turned 67 (yesterday) and take in alterations and make new creations for my clients. I retired two years ago started my little sewing studio in my home.
