Good morning all! It's been awhile since I last posted and wanted to share this adorable pix of my pup with you! I've finished my sewing room, getting my daughter off to college and converted her room to a sewing room (she still has a bed though!) But in the process I've lost 3 of my best…

I am so glad to close the chapter on this month! I am praying that July will bring much better memories & more happiness than June did. I've been working on my blocks of the month that our quilt group has been doing, and I'm almost caught up, I've got 1 block left & then to get the background chosen. We aren't meeting until Sept., so I've got a little time. I'm also trying to get some days of the week tea towels hand embroidered for a friends brithday that is coming up on the 23rd of…

Good morning all. I've been thinking recently that so far June sucks for me. For starters, I found out my DH hasn't been as faithful to me as I once thought, then we celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary, that was a strange affair to be sure. Then I had to get an emergency root canal before I had my temporary crowns put on, then the crown broke in a very painful way, couldn't go back to the dentist b/c they were closed till Monday, so 4 days with a broken temp. crown, while we were in St.…

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is sufficiently recovered from their holiday weekend. A lady that I work with just brought me a quilt that she wants repaired. Now I've never repaired a quilt before so I don't really know what I'm doing, so I thought I would ask you all!
From my cursory inspection, it needs new binding, there are some wear holes on the backing and some of the triangles pieces are coming apart at the seam. Apparently the grandma or mother bought the fabric at…

Hi Tracy, When I get the bedroom finished I will take a picture. It might be awhile as I have to make a bedspread and curtains. I'm doing the room in a pale yellow. I'm planning on using a blue floral pattern for the curtains and possible the bedspread, if I can get enought of the fabric I choose. But I could change my mind about the colors by the time I get around to making them. It will depend on what I find for fabric. I don't want to put too much money into the bedspread as the dog chewed up the satin spread that I had on it. I kept that spread for years without a mark on it. I didn't have her three months when the spread looked like swiss cheese it had so many holes in it. I plan to keep the door closed so she can't get in there once I get the room done.
