What's to learn your way ahead of my quilting skill.. I'm more interested in trying out new rulers/template.. Making seams add up is such a battle for me.

Mom can be left alone, she just wants to be waited on, the quilt meeting is every other Tuesday 11-3. I don"t get a lot for social security, so I can do some part time work- it also gets me out of the house!! Hope your cold gets better soon.

Retirement is okay but I am looking for work  in the summer. My Mom wants to waited on but since she can do for herself, thats  not happening- she is not happy that I go to a local quilt meeting every other week at the library but I do need a life of my own. Once the weather warms up we should get together in the city. How are you doing?

Dear Trudy, Haven't been on Quilt with us for years.  How is everything going with you.  Well I pray.  Will post some pictures of recent quilts this weekend (maybe).  Share with me.  Are you still in Ohio?  Share some of your work with me, ok?

Hi there Trudy! I did a quick math calculator and if your fabric is 43" wide, you will need approx 7-1/2 to 7-3/4 yards fabric. I found this out on this site: http://www.quiltersparadiseesc.com/Calculators/Backing%20and%20Batting%20Calculator.php

Good luck! We have backing fabric that is 104" wide as well. You can find those here:http://www.connectingthreads.com/Fabrics/104_wide_fabric_quilt_backings__L60020326.html

I was only charging five dollars for sewing for girls in school so you were making big money charging eight dollars!  LOL  I agree 100% with you about making your own slacks in colors - they are very hard to find and when I do, chances are I can't get them to fit right.  I hope I can find some time to squeeze in making a few garments for myself, even it it's just a couple of skirts.
