Fall Is In The Air

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The colors are fantastic. Not that summer is not colorful but Fall has colors of its own. I won the Block of the Month at our CVHQ Group in 2002 and gingerly put it in my trunk of UFO's. Well the trunk is almost overflowing and have decided that I must either finish all my UFO's or donate to someone who would. As I was deciding what to do with all of them I could not resist completing this one. Each person made 2 blocks. Wish that I would have written…

I have not forgotten anyone here, I just don't get to post as often as I would like. Everything else seems to get in the way. I have been busy sewing quilts for Cancer Patients. I have now completed 3. Can't find the first one I delivered but here are the last two delivered on Tuesday.

Hi

Just got in from being away for the weekend and it is not a very nice day out there, but a good day to stay indoors and catch up on some quilting. To Marci, yes the pattern for the Tiger had that many pcs. It was very tedious. The outcome is super but the patience of putting it all together was trying. I had to step away from it after every hour. Not only the putting together, but cutting out the pcs and having a pile for every different color. Have fun.

I feel so bad for not checking in to see what everyone is doing. Life has been very hectic for me this summer. I was called upon to be a Care Giver to my sister/brother in law and I must admit I don't know where the energy came from but your care giver skills just seem to kick in at the right time. Being tired I also had a misfortune happen with the vehicle I was driving. It hydro plained on me and I did get hurt on my right side. What a scary experience. Back home now and getting some much…

Hi Vicky. Thanks for commenting on my "frustrated" post. My frame is a floor frame for hand quilting, but I use it primarily for basting and tying quilts. I do all my hand quilting in a lap frame. I figured the long-armers or people who have frames for machine quilting would have the same issues on loading fabrics as what I have. I used some of the suggestions received, went back and re-loaded the fabric last night and had no problems. I opened the seam and worked from the center out as suggested and that seemed to help. I learn something new each time I use it. :0)
