Hi Yolanda, don't know if you were a member but you may have noticed that the old Ohio Quilters group disappeared! We have it up and running again and would love to have you join us. Just go to: http://quiltwithus.connectingthreads.com/group/ohioquilters to sign up! Carol
PS - I noticed on a previous post that you will be at NQA - I'm going with a bus trip for just the day on Friday - any chance you would be there and we could say HI?
Hello Yolanda, long time, no hear. How are you? Eight inches, wow, I haven't seen that for a couple of years, thank goodness. We had here in NY about three the week before Christmas.
Yes, I can't wait to see your quilts when you finish. I made two quilt tops but haven't even sandwiched them yet, they are Christmas so I'll leave them to September to quilt. What are you working on?
Hello Yolanda, I've lived in Lorain all my life. Not far from Mansfield. There's a group here for Ohio quilters.
This year I hope to do different things with my quilting. I plan to buy a midarm so that I can work on free motion, and make a EPP Grandmothers flower garden quilt. I also want to make one quilt top a month, and I am also in the Round Robin group here doing my second Round Robin quilt (picture on my page)
Have a great day, take care.
hi Carol, when we last spoke, did I say 2 of my machines were being serviced? I did get them back, trying to do a little sewing -- not completely satisfied with the way my 25+ year old Singer is performing -- I am sometimes a cheapskate -- want a new machine, won't go into debt for it -- don't want to use my stash -- oh well, such is life these days. How are things with you in Chi Li?
Thanks for you post on my Blog. The class that I currently teach is called Simply Amazing Quilted Photography or More Amazing Quilted Photography from a book by Tammie Bowser. I do have copies of the book. The images are less detailed and time consuming, than what you have seen on my page.
The waterfall and the Golden Lab are from the second book, where you are fusing your pieces, similar to most of my photos. The only sewing in quilting on the top, if you wanted that textured look. I do not quilt on mine, I prefer the "portrait" sytle.
Feel free to email me. I can also teach at Joann's Fabric store on Rainbow and Lake Mead, here in Las Vegas. Thanks, Diana
Thank you very much, Yolanda. Thanks for accepting my friendship. I am happy to know that my quilts have made you smile. I am smiling back. Quilting Arts did feature one of my Obama images that was captured in the 2008 Houston International Fall Festival, in their magazine. It was one that I have on my page of President Obama. Could that be the one that you saw?
Yes, of course you can contact me. I am not reluctant, at all. I would love to meet you. It is 6:33 here, so you must be two hours ahead of my time. I am like you and don't understand which time zone is on my computer. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org for you to contact me. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
You are so kind, waining for my book. I have a couple of fans! Yeah! Thanks so much. Diana
