thank you so much for your kind remarks. As for the quilt in question if I'm counting correctly it's called Winners Circle by Glad Creations

You are going to have to get more pictures up if they are anything like these two, they are FANTASTIC! Especially for only being at it 5 years! (Well I can't find where it shows when you signed up, just going by what you said about yourself. :))

Hi Barbara,  It's been so long since I've heard from anyone on this site I've almost forgotten about it...

I actually make my own handbag/tote pattern so I'm not sure which one you might be interested in.

What site do you find Penny Sturgis patterns on?  I've got sooooo many patterns, as probably most quilters do so I've been going through my older magazines and just keeping the patterns I want and giving away the magazines...   There'll never be enough time to make them all will there?...

I sewed a lot this fall for a bazaar so actually got kind of burned out on sewing (never thought that would happen!)  so I've gotten back into knitting and crocheting, easier to do while watching TV with my husband.  But I do have a lap quilt all layered and ready to quilt that I'm encouraging my self to get to.

How is your weather this winter in FL?

Hi, thanks for the compliments.  The name of the pattern is, "Strip Twist" by G.E. Designs.  Go to www.gequiltdesigns.com    The pattern says it uses 1 jelly roll but I cut mine from my scraps.  A friend in my quilt bee loves to cut her fabrics according to the pattern and this year she is sewing them all (all 8 qulits).  I am not a UFO quilter.  I cut, sew, send it to my LAQ and start another one.  I have a lot of USO (un-started objects)  and I plan to make scrappy quilts this year.

I love your star quilt.  The colors are awesome.

Let me know if you need more info.

I had posted on the scrap thread where I got the pattern but I will give it to you.  It was a mystery.  You can find it here.  http://www.karensayssew.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

The mystery is done but all the clues are there.

I added the border which was not in the clues.  Hope you make it and post a pic.

Congrats!!!  To post a pic you go to your page "my page". You can upload to your album.  Make sure the photo is not big or it won't load.  If you seem to have a problem just resize smaller.  It's not really difficult once you know a good size.  I'd love to see it.  I am really sorry I missed that show but family was here.

Barbara, what is the name of your guild? I certainly hope your quilt is given recognition/prize!

Hi Barbara, I think we need to be friends to properly send messages....want to be my friend? :))). I did get your messages. Our show in Central Florida, not far from the Villages. It is about an hour and a half from the Gulf I think.

Hi fellow Floridian! We moved from north coast of California to our RV for 6 years and now live in FL 6 months...we too love it !

Did you know our central FL guild - Lake County Quilters Guild has a big quilt show with tons of vendors and demonstrations, etc March 1 and 2 in Mt. Dora. The cost is $7 and it's well worth it. There are some great quilters at LCQG and the vendors are from all over. If you come I'll try to meet up with you. I'm doing demo on Accuquikt Go cutter. Alas, I won't have anything entered this year...I'm too slow :).
