Mele Kalikimaka means Merry Christmas....there is a popular song, maybe Don Ho or someone local, but it did go Big! When my hubby was in FL last Christmas, he found a stuffed dog in an aloha shirt that sings this song--so it is pretty popular. Now--don't quote me on the spelling....LOL Send me your mailing address, and I will make sure that you get a Hawaiian Christmas Card this year! Again--I really did enjoy looking at your quilts! You do beautiful work! Aloha, Andrea

Deb,
I see that you are also a member of the Darlenes Slackers and the Stack-n-Whack--both groups that I have joined since I found this group! So we will get to do some stitching together in the new year. Have Great Holidays! **I just ordered my book for Sylvia's quilt, and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I had never seen that book! I do work on the Dear Jane quilt with another bunch of ladies, and did notice that CT has a Jane group also! Take care! Andrea

Thanks Deb for the official welcome! I have always had an admiration for the minis....can't say that I have ever turned one out--you know--an official pattern and all, but I know tht the sewing needs to be precise--and I am working on that! I have been quilting for a couple of years--but still consider myself to be a novice quilter. But I am also working on that too! Finding ya'll will help with that--as I know that others stir creativity. And I have also recently cleared my sewing room, and it is back to being functional...finally! So, I will stay in touch with you gals, and after the holiday madness has waned we can all get back to our machines...Aloha, Andrea

Your Stack-n-Whack and One Block Wonder quilts are beautiful! I haven't tried the 4 patch yet but it's on my someday list (with a lot of others). The OBW looks interesting also, but I need to find the right fabric.

I have a twin sister Colleen. We are so different that when I tell people they think, I kidding. I'm rather like being alone. I wonder if it's because I have always had a Womb-mate. Excuse me for asking. But, do you love being with people rather than being alone? I just had one other person in my life that didn't have brothers or sisters or family. When I met her she was completely without family. She wasn't married at that time. Late in life she did. She was my best friend. She gone now. But, I never asked her. We became friends at work we both love reading. Book exchange, change our lives. Looks like you've had a Birthday! Happy Birthday Month. Happy Thanksgiving Canadian style.

Wow, your work is outstanding! The tiny work is really something. I love knitting too. I couldn't see what kind of quilt frame you use. So many quilters love their gardening and other mediums as well. Yet, you have the time to do such great work.
