Posted on October 14, 2009 at 6:27am 2 Comments

Hi All,

I have 21- finished 5" pinwheels that are looking for a fun pattern. Any suggestions from some of the most creative people on the planet?

Thanks,
Kate

Any easy way to keep the dark background fabric from showing thru when appliquing brights on to a balck background? Do they make a white heat and bond?

Thanks all,
Kate

Question about binding?

Posted on April 18, 2009 at 7:47am 5 Comments

Hi,
I have a question for you veteran quilters out there. I normally cut my binding strips 2 1/2". But I have several 1 1/2" strips of the same fabric, left over from the quilt top. (yes...a miscalculation in cutting :)
Can I sew 2 of these smaller strips together and have a 2 1/2" strip with a seam and then use that as the binding strips? What do you think it would look like or would it be difficult to work with.

Thank you,
Kate

Kate: You are sooooooo good. Letting the Dr tell the parents "it's time" is wonderful. Thanks. Doing the on again, off again, on again thing is wearing me out.

Yep, the retreat was great! Got lots of cutting and sewing in!
Sounds like you had a great weekend too! (Even though you weren't able to squeeze in a visit to the local quilt shop!) But you're right: another time! ;-)
Hey- stay safe and warm! Enjoy your week! ~Marcia
