I wanted to pop over and see what you did for your wallhanging for March. You've got some wonderful projects. I have a picture on my wall by the same artist that is behind you in photo #11.  What a small world!!

Hi Chris!

Can I ask how long did it take to do all that embroidery? I have opened the pattern and can only hope I can trace it ok. There is so much detail! Did you trace it all onto one piece of fabric or did you trace it onto 2 pieces?  I have picked out a tone on tone fabric for the embroidery part.  Hope I'm not making a mistake with that. It's a snowflake motif that I thought would add to the theme. What do you think?

Praying for your quilting friend, Chris.  I see you did the bird quilt!!  That is one of the ones my friend Jenny and I worked on together...Such great memories.

What lovely quilts Chris - I am just a beginner with lots of enthusiasm but little experience! I have 8 grandchildren between 12 years and 9 weeks which keep us busy and we are also building a new house so time seems to rush by.

I started out trying to machine quilt with a domestic machine, but found it difficult. I can meander a small crib size quilt, but that is about it.  I have since learned to hand quilt and hand quilt exclusively.

It is a lot slower, but I quilt for the process not the quilt. I find I am much more satisfied with the finished project this way.

Thanks for the compliment, I really like your grandmother's flower garden, I just started one of these, but I can only make the hex's for a short time, then I get bored with it. I hope to make a doll or crib size quilt just to have one.

I am planning a memory quilt (small size possible wall hanging) for my in laws 60th wedding anniversary. I wanted to applique a center block and then put their children's photos and their grandchildren family photos around it.  I know there are products to transfer photos to fabric, but need to do some research before I commit tot he project.
