i can't believe where this year has gone. So much has happened since I last posted on the site. My niece Katrina finally had a healthy baby boy on the 27 of April, my son has gone to Scotland for 6 months and is now home. My oldest daughter graduated from University in June and is now preparing to leave for South Korea where she will spend a year teaching English. Hubby has spent many a week away from home this spring and summer working (some of which I accompanied him to). We have…

It has been a long day for the family. I just got off the phone with my sister-in-law. My niece came through the surgery still pregnant which is what we all hoped for. It was touch and go through the six hour stint. They did not manage to all of what they wanted but enough to get her healthier and out of pain. Her uterus has attached itself to part of the bowl that needs to be removed but cannot be accessed right now. It was touch and go with some bleeding issues because of this as…

Hello to all in QWU land. Since about this time last year my visit to the site have been hit and miss. Keeping up when life runs smooth takes some effort. And we all knows what happens when curves develope in the roads of our lives. Something gives (usually those associated with glue of the family MOM). Thanks for stopping by my "dad's toolbox" blog. It's been frustrating, finding out that dad didn't want any of us kids to receive any of his tools. So many fond memories are tied into those tools. Even a hammer would bring back happy thoughts that are tied to my dad.
thanks for the ideas! I really like the heart one. that would work with my green and red colours...red hearts LOL...
Christi -I told you wrong. I went back to check and then asked my husband. They are screwed on from the top side down. He used a countersink bit so the screw heads were flush with the top.
Christi - about the furring strips on my long ironing board, they are just screwed on. The screws are just long enough to secure the strips to the board, but not long enough to poke through to the top side of the board. I don't think he used glue at all.
Christi,
