About Me
A creative person locked in a Controller's world.. I live for time in sewing room and my yard.. that nasty 8-5 thing just gets in the way but on the other hand provides me with the means to buy more and more and more fabric! Clearly, Square-In-A-Square is my favorite pattern. I use charm squares for them usually. It's so versatile and easy that it's my fall-back pattern.
Hobbies and Interests
quilting, hand quilting, machine quilting, embroidery, general sewing, gardening
My pets are awesome!
Two handsome boys: Burl and Philbert

Be Careful What You "Put Out There"...

I have been tackling a cold and/or allergies this week. Off-and-on I felt tired, chilled & achey and was sneezing and felt like my face was stretched as a tarp. This morning, I awoke early feeling horrible. I took an Alegra-D and by 7am, felt pretty bad. Felt like I had fever. I didn't want to go to work but thought I should. During this period, I decided to move around to get "with it" so I went and put in a load of laundry.. when I went back to check it, there was water all over my… Continue

And so now, on January 4 at 8am, it's 37* with a high forecast today of 49*. I think me and my hormones prefer this weather... so now, I can get back to the wedding quilt I'm working on, which btw is a slight variation on a CT pattern called City View. Very easy to make and contemporary for the mid-30s crowd. I'll post a pic when it's done. And many thanks to "Polkadot" for her instructions on making a postcard quilt! Another distraction for the day! Happy Sunday all.

Working on a wedding gift. All solids. It's driving me crazy! Sewing in 75* weather here in Dallas/Fort Worth... but, we're supposed to get wintery weather Sunday/Monday/Tuesday so I can't boast too much.. I like winter weather, just not the nasty ice we get here vs. the beautiful snow they get up north...
