Sounds like you have had a busy summer. Congratulations on your blue ribbon. I haven't been spending as much time on the computer lately. I have been unpacking and making curtains for the bedroom, living room, kitchen and still need to do the dining room. My husband has been in WA finishing up some business but he should be home early this coming week. So now I am cleaning house before he gets here. Hopefully, I'll be able to spend more time getting back to normal things now that we'll be staying put for the winter. Have a good Thanksgiving.
I'm sorry I haven't answered before I just now saw your message. We have spent the summer packing and moving my quilting business, his wood shop and our house from WA to ID. It has kept us very busy. We have made six trips and will have another one or two in the spring. We have to finish the quilt room here so we can bring the rest of my quilt room and quilting machine down from WA.
Congratulations on your blue ribbon. Keep working on the booth it takes time. Have you looked into an online site call ETSY? It is for handmade items so you shouldn't see alot of things people are reselling. I'm ohiostar46 there and my sister is LadyCatQuilts. Have to get some errands run so I'll talk to you later. It would be fun to meet at the show next year.
Anita , I am so sorry that I have been of line for so long ,but have been quilting like mad so I had enough quilts done to sell at all of the activities this summer, I took a stab a boothing this year. I didnt do as well as I thought. but Im gong to keep tring to make some of money back that was spent on fabric alone not to mention every thing else that you put into this hobbie. but it sure is rewarding and has giving me a sense of achievment . I did go to the home sewing show it was great am wanting to go next year. Maybe we will meet each other or even chat about what class we are interested in taking .
Please excuse my long absent didnt intent to be rude or thoughtles I took first place at the county fair the quilt is on my page if you would like to see it I also added two otheres but not all of what I got sewn for the summer fairs.

chat with you latter and happy quilting. debbie brinkley
When I have that problem with my machine I usually have thread around the wheels on the carrage and sometimes on the machine. I use tweezers to get the thread out. As far as choosing the right thread if I'm not sure I'll take the thread I want to use and lay it on the quilt top across several of the colors to see how I like the look. I'll try to take a picture of it and post it here so you can see what I mean. I wanted to go to the Home Sewing Show in Salt Lake this year but it doesn't look like I'll be able to so I'll have to try for next year. Have fun you can learn alot and meet people who like quilting as much as you do.
Congratulations on your Lenni. I have an APQS Ultimate 1. It doesn't have a stitch regulator but I don't miss that feature. My husband doesn't sew much he'd rather work with wood. He's made 2 quilts so far in the last 20 years. He plans to make one for our son since the tree quilt went to our daughter, but that probably won't happen until he is confined inside maybe this winter. Looking forward to pictures of your quilts once you have them posted. Have you checked out my blog also. I have other pictures of some quilts I have done for customers there. Talk to you later.
You asked about my tree quilt. My husband bought the pattern in 1992 and made the quilt. Since we are in the process of moving from WA to Rupert, ID everything in my sewing room is packed up and I can't tell you about the pattern until I get everything unpacked which I'm hoping will be by the end of the year. Sorry I can't give you a better answer ath this time.
I also have a longarm. Do you just quilt for yourself
or do you have a machine quilting business?
Good Morning Debbie. To add a friend you just go to their page and where is has their name click on the button that says add as friend, then they will have to accept it on their end. Looks like you were able to add me ok. Have a good day.
Well it sounds like you already pretty much have your sewing and quilting planned out for the rest of the year. It's nice that your husband will help you if you need it, my hubby is the same way. Can't wait to see some pictures and I also need to get some pictures put up on here soon. Have a good night.
