- I have been sewing since I was 12--let's just say that was a LONG time ago. I made most of my clothes since then and gifts for family and friends. A few years ago I made American Girl doll clothes-I have 7 Amercan Girl dolls of my own and also a Barbie Doll collection, including my original one. In 2005 I became interested in quilting and joined a Quilt Guild. I have been obsessed ever since. I want to do it all and I sure try. I love the traditional patterns the most, but always like to try some new ideas. I enjoy Jennifer Chaverini's novels and have all of her books including her Quilting Books. She did a presentation at our guild in 2005 and also a presentation in 2007 at our public library. She is a beautiful quilter and a very interesting person to listen to--a must see!.

Blizzard---

Fond du Lac Wisconsin is in the throws of a full blown blizzard--cannot see the neighbor's houses and the county and surrounding counties are under a state of emergency--winter in Wisconsin--gotta love it--by tomorrow afternoon the sun is supposed to shine---go figure!!!!

Having our 1st blizzard this year-started as rain last nite and then snow--the winds were30-50mph and are still blowing---we live on the west shore of Lake Winnebago---not a common thing to have ice shoves on this side but we woke up to one that is still moving----Wisconsin weather---Gotta love it--pictures on my page---if that boat house goes--maybe I will get my quilt studio after all!!!!!!

Hi---I just checked on my page for the first time in a long time---Thanks to all for the praises and comments on my projects---I think everyone on this site is so talented ---I enjoy just looking at everyone elses work---
for those who wanted to know about my puppies---they are a Shitzu-Bichon mix and keep us very busy!
Wool Crazy--

Went to a group called Wool Crazy---it is for a crazy quillt all out of wool with appliqued pieces and a LOT of embroidery--I have come to the conclusion that this quilting "HOBBY" is a REALLY BIG addiction and if I don't put on the breaks pretty soon I am going to have the BIG meltdown----- my name is Judy and I'm a Quiltaholic!

Hi Judy...it has been a wild week with snow...We usually get from 160 to 200 inches but this is early. We shovel the roof every night and Sat it was 50 so helped melt some...but it is white out again tonight. Our highway dept. is the best. They keep these roads salted. Syracuse is known as the Salt City!!! Fortunate for us! You get a fair amt. yourselves. We get the lake effect off Lake Ontario. Skiers are happy!

Very interesting! All we get when the wind blows in western Kansas is dust! If we get snow, it usually comes with wind and ends up in big drifts. Sometimes you can hardly see across the street. We are in drought right now and are in desperate need of rain or snow. I can't imagine living where there is lots of water. Will the ice stay in the piles all winter?
Hi Judy, thank you for the nice comment on the knitting needle roll up. The quilt that you commented on however, was not made by me. I had taken pics of some of my favorite quilts at the NewYork St. Fair last summer (to share), and some people thought that they were made by me. But they weren't, I am just an admirer. I did have a winner in the Fair, but it was a dress made for my granddaughter. I would never want people to think that I was trying to claim someone else's work, just wanted to clear that up. The quilt is beautiful and I loved it!
He messed in the hallway this monring. I figure it is my fault as I couldn't see him when he went to the back of the house so I worked on getting him in the house.
