I'm so glad to hear from you! I was afraid you had moved or were sick or something. Sounds like you have been busy. I haven't acomplished anything much. We went to Wisconsin last summer, and to our Grandson's wedding in Chicago the middle of July. I enjoyed the campground in WI, but they had the hottest summer on record! There were 4 quilters there including the owner, so she had a room for us to use for sewing . It was great. I went to a retreat in Alabama in November and had a great time. It was a few of the ladies from the HGTV board, mostly from the south. Then to south TX for the winter, which was miserable. The wind blew 30 miles an hour the whole time we were there. They also had a quilting group, which I joined but didn't really get involved. We left a month early, spent 2 weeks in San Antonio and came home.
I didn't get to the Maryville Show. I can't remember why not! We were home in time for Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge, but I didn't go there either. I guess I'm just lazy.
Our Navy son retired about a month go. They bought a house in Pensacola and he's about to start looking for a job. And, I'm going to be a great grandmother in October and again in November!
Hi Karen. Are you OK? I haven't heard from you for quite a while . We're in Wisconsin for 2 months. We decided trying to get from Vermont to Chicago for Michael's wedding was too much for 2 old folks. We decided to try camping here just 3 hours from the event. Just got here Tuesday and I have spent most of my time cleaning and organizing. I did stitch a bit today. I'm making a very simple lap quilt for DDIL in DC.
Hi. What's going on in Kville? I was at West Town Tuesday for an hour or so. I still haven't found any rugs for the new coach. I was in a hurry (and it was raining) or I would have called you to meet for lunch. I was back home by 11:30! Now I'm washing and ironing fabric for summer projects.
The Johnson City bunch has been quiet, so I guess we'll have to get them going for a lunch somewhere before it gets too hot. I'll see what I can do. Any time that you can't go? If we go up there it will be a full day, but well worth the trip. We were talking about Sevierville for a while which would be nice for us!
I'm glad the red came out. I didn't see any on your shirt. It must have been under the plaid shirt. I'm still putting stuff away. I don't think I'll ever get through! DH is not helping much. He just makes messes and leaves them. We will have to have a discussion tonight!
I had a great time also. I just looked at your pictures and you are quite an artist. i especially like the horses. And of course GD is precious. I made DD some sun dresses like those when she was little.
HI Karen, thanks for your kind comments on my thread painting. I've just taken a look at your work and am amazed by your tallent. I especially like the one with the 2 horse faces and the one with the trees and birds. You would probably find thread painting would give and added dimenton and even more scope for fun, but as it is your work is magnificent!
Hi Karen! I am Jonnie and I live in Wisconsin. When I tried to get my SSDI I had to try 3 different time and the third time was with a lawyer. The thing with SSDI is to apply the first time after that you need to appeal after that you keep appealing and get an attorney that deals with SSI. I hope that I have been helpful.
