Hello Kathy, I am from UK and am also about to try foundation piecing how have you got along with it? I am now retired and have time to follow my hobby that has been dormant for many years. Have two married sons and three grandchildren - all live in North Yorkshire. I have two sisters in Brisbane and have visited several times - love it.
Keep in touch - I love networking with people from other countries who share the same interests and hobbies.
my name is Elizabeth Sutton.. mostly I go by Betty... I live in northern Canada... we get lots of snow... my daughter just returned to Canada after 4 years in Canberra... we visited her in 2007... had a great trip... are you in the area that is getting the floods ?? terrible situation... I hope it settles soon...
I have been quilting for over 30 years but do lots of other sewing too... have been retired for 3 years now so can do more sewing... I'm married, have a son that lives near by and a grandson.
I joined this group so that I could see what other quilters are doing... it's very interesting... I still have lots to learn... I enjoy doing my own thing... am not very good at following a pattern... guess I like to colour outside the lines.
Well Hello Kathy! I am very pleased to talk to you. Thank you for looking at my page. I know what you mean about still learning about quilting. I am amazed at all the things that can be done with quilting and how much there is to still learn. Where in Australia do you live?? Where are you sitting in your profile picture?? What do you do when you aren't quilting?? My husband and I are campers and love to pull our camper and get away for a few days. I am sad that I haven't had time to quilt much this summer but in a couple of weeks I am expecting things to settle down a bit and I can get back to it. Do you have some pictures of your quilts?? What kind of quilting do you like to do most?
Thanks for writing and I will love to stay in touch with you!
