I love everything about quilts! I have learned so much from my friend, Gwen. She is a great teacher and friend. My first experiences with making quilts was with my Granny Jessie and my Aunt Sue. Not really great with anything but scrap quilts and squares (9-patch is my fave, but willing and ready to learn). Lord knows Gwen has tried! LOL! She taught me to handquilt and I fell in love with it. I have a stash of fabric that is really getting out of hand (I think that is a good thing!). I work full-time as a medical transcriptionist, so don't have as much time as I would like to sew, but I try! I have a Gammill (Home Craft) long-arm quilting machine that is so much fun and my hand-quilting frame.

Hey Paula, That is aa great idea about quilting our Christmas tops "together"but I would have to have you do about half of mine so that we could be even. Mine is a queen size bed size. I don't even know how to use my "Lizzie" yet. I have had nothing but tension problems. I have a practice top on their and I have ripped it out and started over 2 times.
Paula, I am going to ask my pals in the Totally Totes group. There are lots of patterns out there, but not all have good directions, so I will see if any of them know of a good and easy hobo bag pattern. I'll let you know what I find out.
Paula, I would be proud to be your friend. I haven't been getting on this site as much as I once did, I have been trying to get the quilting part of quilts done. I am sure we will have some great online chats and find that we have lots in common--love of quilting is #1.
