I saw these hearts in a magazine and thought I'd like to try my hand at them. I had a layer cake at home that I thought would be perfect but the directions were for regular yardage. So I mulled over how I could adapt the directions for the layer cake and if I would have enough fabric for each heart. It was fun to figure it out..I can say that now ...now that its done. And with the leftover layer cake I pieced the backing. I'm going to try and quilt it this weekend...we'll…

We went out to Berlin Oh last week to the fabric outlet, I got everything I need. I will post a picture once I am done. Thank you again.
Thank you.
Yo Roz how ya' doin'? Any word on Juki yet? Hopefully when I see you lata she'll be there!! How do I get the first part of this quilt pattern?? Huh?? Hey you got some nice quilts there and you got a lot of animals. you sound like a nice person so maybe we'll be friends okay??
Still haven't sandwiched Sour Dough blocks but will post photo when done.
Hi Roz! The Christmas blocks were the ones I sent to my Secret Sister for a swap last year. I loved the fabric so much that I bought more to make a quilt for my self. It isn't on the list yet, because I haven't officially started it, so I don't think it has to count! Good luck on your UFO's too! :)
Hi Roz, Yes, I still belong to the American Sewing Guild. I have been a member since 2001. I started the chapter here in Calais. ASG is not a quilting guild. We do every kind of sewing. Focusing more on garments. But we do quilts, purses and other things besides garments. You can check it out at www.asg.org There are national quilt guilds that should have chapters near you. See if you can find something by typing in National quilting guild New,York and see if anything comes up in your area. When I was in Bayside we stayed at a wonderful Greek hotel. The food was to die for. I don't recall the name of it but I remember a beauty shop across the street that some of the girls went over to get their hair done.
They say great minds run in the same channel. You was blogging to me at the same time I was blogging to you. lol Thanks for the compliment on my sewing room. I took my formal living room (that I seldom used) and turned it into a sewing room. I can't understand why myother pictures didn't come up for you. I will have to go look and see if they are still there.
Roz, I didn't know you were from L. I. I lived in Hampton Bays in the early 60's when my (now ex husband) was stationed at Suffolk Co. AFB. We were there for 3 years. The last time I was on the Island was about 5 years ago when I attened a Regional Meeting of the American Sewing Guild in Bay Shore. I have many fond memories of L.I.
No photos yet; have 40 blocks left to make. We have till August to complete the project so will take photos then.
Roz,
Miss seeing you too. We made out okay. How about you? I nhave been trying to get to the post office to mail my squares to you. Things are crazy between training and home.
