I didn't realize you had left because I was having problems with the way the chat line was scrolling. I couldn't tell when you answered until I started writing something myself and I hit enter. I reported it to Admin.
Hope we can talk more and not have so much problems. Have a great quilty week. Hugs.
They are currently in a drawer with most of my other swap blocks- started working If not well then I guess they will be for net year! LOL! I have a couple things to do work related this week before I can work on them again.
Happy to have you as a friend. Love those scrap quilts and you have given me an idea of using some of my old family cross stitch items as possibly centers for Dresden plates- now I want to go look through them all to see if i have any that would work!
I found out from my friend Jenny ( Whitstable) that it was indeed Guildhall where we had the fish and chips and discovered the beautiful little quilt shop. Jenny told me about a year later it had closed. We are getting some HOT weather. It's a pleasant change from all the rain we have had. I looked at all your beautiful quilts. You do wonderful work. Hope to see you in chat sometime soon. I enjoyed chatting with you.
Thank you Sally for inviting me to be your friend. It's my pleasure. Hated to leave chat but I had a client come in and had to leave. I take in alteration and make new creations for the public. Will chat with you again.
Thanks for your comment on my quilting! It is actually not a wholecloth, but is the backside of a quilt. The front side is posted on my page too, it is the tans and creams quilt. I am going to do a wholecloth someday...maybe when my kids are grown!
The sewing bee was interesting, but would like craft ie. patchwork programmes instead. I have some UFO's to finish - I have lots of blocks that need putting together and I have some finished hand quilted blocks that are put together as I have gone along with the backing and the batting, I need to know how to join them in a similar way to quilt as you go, I find it a little difficult. Will be away on holiday for the whole of May so will have to look at it when I return. Take care Marianne
Did you watch the sewing Programme on TV yesterday evening - I was a little disappointed, wish they would have some patchwork type programmes here like they do in the USA - what r u doing at the moment
