I am sorry you are having such a busy and emotional time at the moment. Good news that your mum's cancer has not spread and an op is possible. Pity about your daughter's hand, I know what horse riding injuries are like, its the frustration that also goes along with it, especially at this time of year when they want to be out enjoying, she is young and heals quickly, it's patience. All the multi tasking a mother does and no degree for it, I think we mother's need a gold medal given the mental, physical and emotional gymnastics we have to perform. Take care all will be ok in the end, you are right the Birmingham quilt show is great, I am not going either this year after just getting over my op.
Hello Desiree, Thank you for your reply. I do enjoy my Brother Innovis but am sure I do not get the best out of it at the moment. I also have a bernina 180, bought it 2nd hand and did not get any instructions with it, or should I say no shop support, so have muddles through the best I can. I live in North Yorkshire which is the opposite end of the country from Cornwall. What do you enjoy about UK, its always interesting to know what people like.
Hello Desiree, thank you for inviting me to be your friend, I am delighted to accept. I look forward to chatting and sharing our joint hobby projects. A little busy at the moment with a charity I help with, its their 50th anniversary this year and I do the publicity for them and co ordinate the 50th celebrations, so there is much to do as you can imagine. I try to leave a little time for my sewing too, not as much as I would like though.
Thank you Desiree' for your kind words about my quilt. It was a lot of work and took a long time. My MIL pieced it about 10 yrs. ago and then I did all the hand quilting and finishing. I am so happy it is done! LOL I love your pink tulip quilt. It is lovely! The room with the big table on your pictures, is that your sewing room? You are lucky to have such a big, nice place to quilt. Have a wonderful day! becky c.
