I had a pretty good Spirit Led week last week.
I was able to quilt and bind the 'cross' quilt for baby Avery. The batting for the large quilt is in the dryer to remove wrinkles from being in the packaging. I hope to get the pinning done today. (I am out of my spray adhesive). I would have probably pinned it also.
On Avery, things are still looking real good for her. Her parents have been told that at this point, they see no reason why she can't come home…Continue
We went to Run-A-Muk Dog Park twice this past week.
I've been very quiet here, but I wanted to share this quilt.
After taking classes twice now with Jacqueline De Jonge, I have my first of (at least) 4 quilts completed.
I had it quilted by a friend who has quilted other of Jacqueline's quilts and did a wonderful job with it.
Yes it has been a long time since I wrote on here, I do read and sometimes comment.
After the show I take part in " Christmas In Paris "with my thread painting, life has been hectic to say the lest. So thought I would show you a piece of thread painting that sold very quickly and I hope to do another to give the kind gentleman that let me use his photo for a subject. Hoping within the next week or so to make a start. Life has a way of throwing you curve balls!!LOL. DH has just come…Continue
We arrived in Fl. Spent the morning with friends at Blue Springs Park. Over 300 manatees came in to warmer water quite a site along with other wildlife! Orlando is a crazy place to drive, but it is so torn up that it is dangerous driving if, they ever finish it’ll be nice.…Continue
The Spirit Led me this week. It kept me on task. I hope you had a Spirit Led week also.
As predicted and mentioned in the last post, we had ice and snow. It was so cold for Texas. We got down to 7 degrees one morning. Since Texas is not prepared for this type of weather, it shut down the schools for 2 days. The roads were impassable. We have many hills in the area and vehicles could not get up them. We also have narrow roads in many places in the country, so many slid…Continue
My long-term quilting project, "Peggy's Sistine Chapel," is done.…Continue
Greetings! More snow, 8 new inches! Wish I could say I've been busy sewing all day but that isn't the case! Did iron a few pieces of fabric to keep the stash in order but the rest of the day has been shoveling, chores and paperwork. Sharing the photo my Niece sent of the holiday table runner that I made and mailed…Continue
Hello everyone....What a great year it has been already!
Well guess what?
I made a card trick, King size top: in seven DAYS...Yes that's right 7 days! With DH cutting and my sewing, he cooked and cleaned up and all I did was sew...it was finished with approx. 6-7 hours sewing time and I finished it. You can ask Irene Gallway she saw it on facebook.!
It is on my phone so I need to get it off of there and on to here so you can see it.
I am so excited it is…Continue
I had a good Spirit Led week. I hope you had the same.
I was able to do some work on Avery's quilt. I started making the individual 'Dresden petals'. Of the 250 that needed done, I think I had 170 done. I was waiting on the fabric to finish. The fabric made it on Friday. Now I have all the 'petals' made and 200 of them sewn into the circle (10 petals each = 20 circles). 5 more circles are ready to go. After I get these together, I think the worst is over. I only have…Continue
It was nice to get back to Vintage Stitchers.…
I finished another wallhanging this afternoon. I appliqued the center block 20 yrs ago this month. Then I finally added the borders last year and then quilted it this week. Better late than never! …Continue
I hope everyone is enjoying 2018. I am having a bit of a problem remembering the year. What happened to 2017 and many prior years? Eek. And now January will fly by as well.
I got my shoveling and dog walking done fairly early today so I thought I'd start another new project to go with the 900 other UFO's. I think I must be dumb as a brick. I got a gift card for our local shop for Christmas so, in the spirit of the season, I spent it all plus some.
Here is my wisdom for the…Continue
I hope you have had a Spirit Led holiday season.
I am sorry for the delay in posting. It got busy around here.
When I last posted, I was heading to make some organza tree ornaments. I did not get as many done as I wanted, but here is a taste.
Then we had blood work…Continue

Here is a pic of my latest finished. I hoped to have this done by midnight on NY's Eve, but didn't quite make it. The blocks were made by members of The Machine Embroidery Buddies group a few years ago.Continue
We arrived at Uncle Jim's place in Bend the Friday evening before Christmas. He had a small tree, but still pretty big for Vroni.
