Quilt Show

If by chance, you live in the Pacific Northwest, I'd like to invite you to the Basin Piecemakers Quilt Show, in Moses Lake, WA.  It's at the ML High School commons on Friday, 10:00-6:00 and Saturday, 10:00-4:00.  Off hand I don't know the exact address but the school is on Sharon St.  You could probably Mapquest it.  It's really easy to find as it's just off the I-90 freeway.  If you can make it come by my booth and say HI.  It really is a great show for such a small town. Also… Continue

A New Group! Wonders and Whimsies

A wonderful new group is now available for you to join.  If you work with themes to create your wonders, I would like to invite you to participate.  On the first and fifteenth of the month, a new idea will be proposed.  Share your thoughts and reactions, and if you create (or have created) something fitting the concept, share it.  What you come up with might just launch someone else.  There are no deadlines, and no rules.  If you are working with fiber and creating with it, art or not, you…

On the Other Hand...

On the Other Hand...

I could just ignore the pain in my thumb

for it seems a mere mosquito bite,

a small irritation when compared

to others with far worse injuries

or ailments.

But, on the other hand, I can seek help

from trained medical professionals

well experienced in their field

who can diagnose this little

I could just complain, rant and rave

and make life miserable…

Wondering about swaps

Hi Everyone, it's been years but I use to belong to a quilt group and we would do fabric swaps, gadget swaps, block swaps and just about any other kind of swap.... are there any of these going on? If so can someone point me in the right direction? I absolutely loved doing these swaps. Thanks!!

My apologies...

From most of the feedback I have received, it seems that my intentions of posting my "Health Coach to Quilters" information have been misunderstood.

I was actually wanting to just get some objective feedback from quilters about what I was trying to do - from people who are not already my friends - again - I lost a dear friend to cancer and I do not think she had to die - I am trying to find ways to help people - and I am a quilter - I am 66 years old and retired - still do teach at…

Thanks to all for birthday wishes

Well it has been awhile since I have posted here..the summer is finally here and the weather has been wonderful...we are getting a few rainy days right now but the grass and the flowers needed it...

I have doing the outdoor thing with cutting grass and I have finished piling my wood for the winter months... I have lost one of my cats and I think based on my neighbours experience that a fisher might have killed her...their cat was also killed...so I am down to one cat and one…

wall papers

I just checked in to find a new wallpaper and they wont work for me I've used them in the past and they were wonderful...I can feed my fabric addiction all day! I followed the directions but when I right click, I don't get the set as wallpaper option that the directions call for. Anyone have a trick?

What happened to spring?

What in the world happened to the spring? Not real sure we had one down here in northwest Florida.  The month of June came in with a heat wave and has never let up.  So HOT and HUMID!!!!  So basically I'm stuck staying inside in the A/C.  So thankful for air conditioning.  If I could meet the person who invented A/C, I would have to do something really special for them.  Maybe make them one of Paula Deen's Banana Split Icecream Cakes.  So yummmmmm!  Anyway, I was going to make a quilt this…

Just Saying......

I've been quilting for many years. There have been times that I have walked away from quilting for months even years then all of a sudden the urge hits me and it's all I want to do. I may quilt for weeks, months or years, just depends on how long the bug stays. Over the years, I have taken many quilt classes and met lots of world renown teachers and many, many quilters. Quilters of all ages, race, size and religious backgrounds. Most were people that I will never forget for different…

Heading Out Soon To The Lake!

In a couple of days, Mancave and I are getting ready for a week of relaxation, walks together and some well deserved "down time". Our good friends have a beautiful condo that they allow us to use whenever we'd like, so the fact we don't even have to pay for lodging is great, too. Plus, we take our own groceries for the week, so it's pretty "low budget" which helps when you're still chucking out college tuition for your kid...

Today, I am baking some treats to take and making up some… Continue
