A wonderful new group is now available for you to join. If you work with themes to create your wonders, I would like to invite you to participate. On the first and fifteenth of the month, a new idea will be proposed. Share your thoughts and reactions, and if you create (or have created) something fitting the concept, share it. What you come up with might just launch someone else. There are no deadlines, and no rules. If you are working with fiber and creating with it, art or not, you…

On the Other Hand...
I could just ignore the pain in my thumb
for it seems a mere mosquito bite,
a small irritation when compared
to others with far worse injuries
or ailments.
But, on the other hand, I can seek help
from trained medical professionals
well experienced in their field
who can diagnose this little
problem.
I could just complain, rant and rave
and make life miserable…

From most of the feedback I have received, it seems that my intentions of posting my "Health Coach to Quilters" information have been misunderstood.
I was actually wanting to just get some objective feedback from quilters about what I was trying to do - from people who are not already my friends - again - I lost a dear friend to cancer and I do not think she had to die - I am trying to find ways to help people - and I am a quilter - I am 66 years old and retired - still do teach at…

Well it has been awhile since I have posted here..the summer is finally here and the weather has been wonderful...we are getting a few rainy days right now but the grass and the flowers needed it...
I have doing the outdoor thing with cutting grass and I have finished piling my wood for the winter months... I have lost one of my cats and I think based on my neighbours experience that a fisher might have killed her...their cat was also killed...so I am down to one cat and one…

I am looking into buying another sewing machine. I currently have a Singer Curvy and a Kenmore. I think I want to buy a Janome but I'm open to other options. So, what is your all time FAVORITE machine?

What in the world happened to the spring? Not real sure we had one down here in northwest Florida. The month of June came in with a heat wave and has never let up. So HOT and HUMID!!!! So basically I'm stuck staying inside in the A/C. So thankful for air conditioning. If I could meet the person who invented A/C, I would have to do something really special for them. Maybe make them one of Paula Deen's Banana Split Icecream Cakes. So yummmmmm! Anyway, I was going to make a quilt this…

I've been quilting for many years. There have been times that I have walked away from quilting for months even years then all of a sudden the urge hits me and it's all I want to do. I may quilt for weeks, months or years, just depends on how long the bug stays. Over the years, I have taken many quilt classes and met lots of world renown teachers and many, many quilters. Quilters of all ages, race, size and religious backgrounds. Most were people that I will never forget for different…
