As some of you know already, I had my Night Before Christmas quilt quilted by a longarm quilter and it was almost completely ruined. My husband & I are in the process right now of removing all of the stitches on it and then it will be re-quilted by a friend of mine in Kansas. Right now the stitching lines done on the white on white fabric behind the embroidery really show. My question is whether or not any of you have dealt with this situation and if it ended up turning out okay. I'm…

Hi! Almost 4 years ago, I was told by my lawyer to get off the computer. For some of you who do remember me, might remember when my mom had broke her leg. Well, that was what had the other lawyers, who I was going after, all crazy. They wanted to make a big deal, over my going down to care for my mom. So that is why I wasn't here. The other lawyers also took pictures that I had on here, and were trying to use them against me. My lawyer took me off the computer completely for a long…

I enjoyed reading all the posts about end-of-summer projects.
I thought you might like to hear how it is in my neck of the woods. I live in a very small (pop 490) town in Western Colorado. We have an active quilting group of 8-10 women. We meet weekly in the community center where we have enough room to really spread out. One wall is entirely carpeted so we can hang quilts in progress, etc. Our group puts on a breakfast during the town's annual party (Wild Horse Days).
About a…

In my post about the baby clutch ball, I mentioned that I wanted to include a piece of chenille in the project but couldn't find my chenille scraps. Well...you guessed it...today I found them!

I am guilty of pouring over everyone else's pictures, and loving them, but don't often post any of my own. Thought I'd post a few of my fish projects. I needed a break from a t-shirt quilt I'm working on, so took time to put these together. I embellished the wallhanging pattern a bit, and had fun playing with different free-motion quilt designs on the fish.
The smaller quilt started as an orphan block left over from the wallhanging, and scrap triangles that I couldn't bring myself…

Just loved the idea of the clutch ball that I had to make one for Aiden. The first one that I started to make with the template was way tooo big so I cut it down a 1/3 and made the one I gave to Aiden. As you can see he does like his ball. Only wish I had gotten the picture of him putting his face in the ball.…

Haven't been posting much, but need chatter.....
We have been having a cool summer and the veggie garden is just now starting to come on, but have had a beautiful flower garden this year.
I am still working with my charity group and have gotten three quilts made. Will post pictures later after they are finished. One was a red, white, and blue stars for the VA hospital. One was lady bugs and flowers applique and the other is large pinwheels made with poka dot material. (Lady…

I've been missing the general chit-chat we used to share here, so I'm hoping to spur on some more posts by sticking my neck out and just sharing what is going on in my world. It may not be all about quilting because my life is not all about quilting, so go easy on me. ;0)
Yesterday morning we saddled up early in order to try to beat the heat of the day to gather up the yearling heifers and sort off the bulls from the bunch. It was a beautiful morning and they gathered and…

We have a life long friend who is the Chief of Pediatrics in a major medical center. He came yesterday loaded with stuffed animals, fleece blankets, sunglasses, and soccer balls! These were some of the items that are donated to the hospital. He has had to rent a storage room...I will be donating these to a local shelter...
My point is...be sure your items are truly going to be used at the place you are donating to. Businesses, organizations, charity groups, and amazingly generous…

I am entering a small quilt in my guild's challenge for the first time. It's small as the challenge rules are 20 x 20 or less. My question....do I add embellishments first, then do the binding. Or do I bind it and add embellishments after. The label is on the back and the very last step will be to do a hanging sleeve. Help !!
I tried to post a photo but it didn't work. Sorry.......

I chose the “Merry Christmas” wall hanging from Nancy Halvorsen’s Ho Ho Ho Let it Snow for my project this year. Having just moved into a brand new home, I’m not sure where all my Christmas treasures will fit, so my solution is to make new treasures to fit with the old…

Good morning from the East coast. Through the pending rain clouds dropping their loads, I can tell the sun is out there, lol. I'm off to a local quilt shop to drop off another quilt for machine work, and do some handwork.
Florida quilt show happening September 27-30, Jacksonville FL, Prime Osborne Auditorium. Come to Quiltfest if you're in the region. I'm not sure if I will be here. (Brenda, I just may. Will know soon.)
Later I have pics to add. Y'all have a…
