Hi all. Life has taken quite a turn. What we thought was dementia turned out to be GBM (glioblastoma) tumors I. His brain. If you can choose what type of a tumor to have, this is NOT it. He has surgery on Thursday. They could get 70% of the front lobal tumor, the other was inoperable. He will get chemo and radiation which will give us more, and better time, for several months.

Hi all -- it's been way too long since I last posted here. It's so nice to see so many 'faces' I know as I scan the posts.

This wallhanging is based on a larger one I found in a magazine. I made this to hang in my 7 year old granddaughter's bedroom, at our house. It is a tribute to her mom, our daughter-in-law, who just passed away much too young after her 7 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She truly knew how to live life in full bloom, and made making memories a priority. We never heard her complain as she fought bravely until she had nothing left to fight with. Even though I should have been spending my time basting an older UFO, I saw this embroidery design & just couldn't resist making it. It is the freeform tablerunner by Sweet Pea Designs. I did the center part on my embroidery machine & then added the borders as I wanted it to be wider than the pattern is. It only took a few hours to make.
