My Covid-19 Rewilding Shawl is growing....…
Lately I have been in the mood to start going through my quilt room as well as my 2nd bedroom where I store some of my quilt stuff, but mostly yarn, to get more of an idea of what I have. I don't know whether to feel happy that I probably don't need to buy anything other than thread, batting and stabilizer (for my embroidery machine) for the next several years or guilty because I have so much stuff! I found kits I had forgotten I even had. That makes me feel guilty.
I did get…Continue
Been working on this since February, I believe. Just finished it. I hand quilted the straight lines; the wavy lines within the tree branches are by machine.
This year Mother's Day is going to be very different for a lot of us. Never thought I would see the day that the entire world would be suffering from such a horrible pandemic! Since I can't spend the day with my daughter & her family, I am going to spend the majority of it in my sewing room.
I delivered the last of the face masks to the food bank this morning. I made 421! I absolutely ran out of fabric! It feels great to clear out some bins for a good cause. We opened the lake house this past weekend. Our weather has been crazy cold for this time of the year! Mother's Day will be quiet...too cold for a driveway visit! will have to zoom it. Wishing all a wonderful Mother's Day. Stay safe...but, get out there and take our life back.…Continue
I took another 100 face masks to the med center today. I think I will move on to something else, also. This is my 3rd week off work, I go back Monday. I wouldn't mind another week off, but I am so thankful I have a job to go back to.
Here’s the before and after pictures of my newly finished fan quilt. I bought 15 hand pieced fan arcs last year at a flea market for a few dollars. You can see that the size varied. I ended up…Continue
Hi Everyone, Hope your all doing fine, and staying healthy....and staying away from everyone,,Now that's hard to do...considering we are all people persons.
This is crazy, staying home and doing everything under the sun..

I went on line and saw some new patterns and decided to try them,,not too bad,,, Now to…Continue
The work table is full!
Full of masks in various stages of construction, from washed, uncut fabric in the foreground, to cut-out pieces matched with the best thread from my collection, to pieces with the folds and folded-tape ties…Continue
I bought these four 1940s Colonial Ladies blocks at a flea market last summer. They were hand appliquéd, just lovely. I machine pieced the setting and hand quilted it. A cheery project for these difficult times.
Does anyone know anything about this machine? I can find NOTHING about it on the internet so far. It is selling on a local on-line auction. I'm assuming it is a working toy machine circa 1950's, possibly? When we looked at the listing yesterday, the bidding was at $140. I'm not interested in buying it, but I am intrigued by it and that fact that I can't seem to find any history or information about it. It has a crank handle, but it also looks like there is a belt on it as well. Maybe…Continue
As many of you know I’ve been living in a RV which of course means very confined space. I have finally worked out a way to work on my quilts. This is the the last of 3 blocks to make before I can piece the quilt top together.
