I know it's shocking that my project isn't snowmen but I have to make some non-snowman things so I have something to give away! I love Nancy Halvorsen and this project came from the Jingle All the Way book. These were so quick to make they ended up being fun. I LOVE a quick & easy project and these fit the bill. I decided to use the candy cane and holly designs since they…Continue
For those who have a rotary blade sharpener:
What type do you have?
How well does it work?
How many times can you resharpen a blade?
How do you dispose of your old blades?
How often do you sharpen/change out your blades?
I am amazed at how well scrap city blocks not only sew together but also how they look. They really do float. My group is going to use a red background fabric when we finish our 2 rows each. I just have to sew mine together.Continue

Here on Quilt With Us, we have always displayed today’s birthdays on the main page. Unfortunately, we are limited by our site platform to showing only the first 20 people alphabetically. Now that we've grown to over 27,000 members that means that half of the birthdays get left off. To the left on the main page, you will find a new poll. Should we keep the birthdays, or get rid of that section and make room for a different kind of feature? We are curious to know what you think, so please go…Continue

I finally finished this quilt a few weeks ago. I was beginning to think I wouldn't get it on the bed before it was time to switch to a Christmas quilt.
A few weeks ago I asked what size to made baby quilts. I often make them 45x 45, but giving them away for Teen Mom club I wanted to save money and time. I end up cleaning out my closet and found eight to give away and I also made ten receiving blankets. The more I dig in my mess, the more unfinished top I am finding, only I was looking for material to make Treat or Treat bags with Fashion Club. The head teacher felt it would be a great start and some of the girls already love to sew. Isn't…Continue
i can't believe where this year has gone. So much has happened since I last posted on the site. My niece Katrina finally had a healthy baby boy on the 27 of April, my son has gone to Scotland for 6 months and is now home. My oldest daughter graduated from University in June and is now preparing to leave for South Korea where she will spend a year teaching English. Hubby has spent many a week away from home this spring and summer working (some of which I accompanied him to). We have…Continue

The next chapter will be coming out soon. They have slowed down a bit with all of my retreats and etc. Not to worry though, the stories and drama will continue on!
