I finally got around to posting photos of many of the quilts I have finished. I lost several photos when I decided to use my camera and somehow turned them into movies! UGHH!! Anyway, there are some still to share.
I loaded my mom's king size quilt last night and hope to have it finished for her birthday, Oct 19th. I have already given her several dresser scarves, but she has NO idea she is going to get a quilt. I can't wait to surprise her! Right now she is using a…Continue

Have not posted for quite a while!! I have been focusing on my daughter who is in a long-term health care facility in Portland - she has had quite a bit of brain damage so far and will not recover completely. She is now able to feed herself, but she is not eating enough so they have inserted a feeding tube into her stomach. She responds very sweetly - however she does not know anyone - not even her husband - but she does sense that they are somehow a couple. The doctors still do not know…Continue

I made arrangements with Life Flight to take pictures of the plane her dad flew in as a nurse and then used Photo Shop Editor to remove the hanger and other planes before printing the plane on a printable fabric. Since my great nephew is named after his grandfather…Continue

I am making a monkey quilt for my great nephew and trying to put the monkies on with machine applique, except I am finding that the edges ravel, am I doing the stitiches too small? should I make the stitches a little larger? I thought if I made the stitches smaller I would hold the ends without raveling.
What results did anyone get when they tried raw edge flannel appliques,…Continue
I am considering making a signature quilt for my daughters wedding. Can someone help me with some questions I have.
#1. Do the signature pieces get signed with permanent markers and left like that, or, do they get stitched over with floss?
#2. Is it best to get the signatures and then make the quilt with the signature pieces?
I know these may sound like dumb questions but Im really confused and want to do this quilt, as I think it would be really memorable for my…Continue
