I was Spirit Led this past week. I hope you were also.
I had fun making some ITH Christmas ornaments. I am not really a Halloween person. Thanksgiving plans have be set for the family.
Here are the ornaments:
They look better in person. The colors do not really…Continue
I finally made it back to my quilting group, Vintage Stitchers. We met at Diane's She had this lovely…Continue
Here is a pic of a banner I finished this afternoon for my fireplace mantle. The designs are from The Embroidery Library and were stitched out on my embroidery machine. I have had that gray fleece for so many years I can't remember when I bought it or what I bought it for, but it was perfect for this project. I stitched it out on the back so it wouldn't be as "fuzzy".…Continue
Though it was a real rough week, it was still Spirit Led.
My son and his wife had a OB/GYN visit on Wednesday. They went to mainly for the gender reveal. The results were put in an envelope to be given to Erica's sister for the party. That is not the only news they got.
The baby has a heart defect. They had to go to a pediatric cardiologist for confirmation.
This is part of the text message from our son:…Continue
"Think Pink" days continued through Friday. You may remember that Mandy made mittens for Dolly and surprised her with them on Monday.
My week was Spirit Led, was yours?
We had a pretty good week, this past week. I was able to work a lot on on the embroidery machine. The weather is getting more seasonable. It has been warmer than usual here in Texas. The highs have been in the mid 90's, a little to warm for this time of year.
This coming Saturday is the reveal party for our expected 4th grandchild. I am so excited. I will be excited to share with you next week. I am thinking it is a…Continue
Members of the Piece Around the World made me Double Bowtie blocks for my birthday a few years ago and I finally got the top quilted & bound. I'm so pleased with how it turned out. I still need to put a hanging sleeve & label on the back so will get that done soon. …Continue
This is latest charity quilt I made using the Spiced Potpourri collection. I used the pumpkin polyester thread to quilt and it blended beautifully both front and back. I love the autumn colors of this collection and how they coordinate.fullsizeoutput_82e.jpeg
Monday was a holiday, so we took the pups to Run-A-Muk Dog Park, so they could have a good run. …
Good morning.. I was just looking for a quilt block swap. I love learning new techniques, except paper piecing. I am sure I would love it, as everyone says, but I am not there yet. Any ideas of any quilt block swaps online. I have a great time with Stash Bee...but just not sure if I will join in 2018. Thank you so much
Was your week Spirit Led? Mine was.
I am still praying for the victims of the shooting, hurricanes, fires, and earthquake (in Mexico). There is so much going on these days. Just this weekend, yet another hurricane (Nate) struck the gulf coast. I am so thankful that it moved fast through all areas. I am grateful for all answered prayers. I will wait for unanswered prayers, for they all are in God's hands and he will answer them in His time and in His…Continue

I did get away from the dolls for a little while this week, but not before Vroni unplugged my computer.
Or maybe she was trying to keep the…Continue
I hope your week was Spirit Led.
First I want to say something that occurred overnight last night. I am speaking about the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Please know that my prayers have been lifted up for the victims (including those unharmed physically), victim families, police, fire, paramedics, hospital workers (doctor, nurses, nursing asst., etc). I have prayed for the community also. I pray for the family of the shooter. This is a horrific catastrophic…Continue
Vintage Stitchers met at Barbara's on Thursday. Carol had an interesting quilt.
