Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!
Christmas was good, but my birthday, which started at a few minutes after 10:00 PM, which was a few minutes after midnight in Florida, where I was born many, many years ago, sucked! Well, this was supposed to be the "Big 70." It was, actually 70, but it was by far the worst birthday of my life, if you don't…

I was able to work on the pin cushion today. I sat down and didn't get up until it was finished. I think it came out so cute and I can't wait to give it to my sister on Sunday when we celebrate our Christmas together! :D
I know she's going to LOVE IT! :D…

Good Morning all!! I enjoyed quality time with my 9 yr old granddaughter, Macie. I asked her if she wanted to make a quilt and she was very excited. We sorted through scraps of fabric from previously made quilts. This is the fabric that she chose for the first block. Her quilt is going to be made of many different colored quilt blocks, mostly from…

Just wanted to tell everyone Happy New's Years even if I am a little early.
Things have been up and down in this house lately. DD had the "HUGE" blood clot in the leg earlier this month and spent 5 days in the hospital. I think my last post was about getting to babysit my DD. I did spent a week after work and weekends visiting her and helping her get up and around abit. She had a visit with her regular doctor who told her to get up and move around more. Her leg is now back to its…

Happy New year to all!
I'm usually a blog "reader" but I have a question regarding connecting thread fabrics. I want to make my grandson a quilt using the fabric line Mastermind from connecting threads but find they no longer have all fabrics on the website. This was the fabric with circuit boards/gears/and robots on it. Was hoping there was some way to find a selection of these fabrics to make a quilt for full size bed. Would like to…

I had a fabulous time being grandma for the week before Christmas. My grandson was being bitten at his daycare and his parents couldn't get it resolved with the daycare owner so they pulled him out. I had lots of one-on-one time with the little guy and was in a coma by the time they got home from work. I was a lot younger when I was a toddler's mom. Great fun. My husband arrived a few days after I did. Older son arrived a few days later--then Santa. What a fun holiday.
Real life now.…
