MERRY CHRISTMAS!



This doesn't have anything to do with quilting but it does have everything to do with Christmas Spirit so I hope you'll forgive the "off topic" post.



My youngest son is teaching English in Japan. He recently volunteered to play Santa at a kid's club in his area. He found white shoe polish worked to color his beard, eyebrows and sideburns. Hi, My name is Teri and I'm a Quilter

Up until recently if people asked me if I quilted I'd always say yes but I'm just a beginner. The other day someone asked me if I quilted and I just said yes. I didn't realize it until later but that was the first time I didn't qualify it. Maybe it's because I've given a few of my quilts away as gifts now or even that I made a quilt and a friends asked if it was easy and I said yes - but I wouldn't do it as a beginner. Sobering Thoughts on Past Tornadoes

Kansas made the news this last Saturday with over 100 tornadoes spotted on the ground or by radar. The approaching bad weather—thanks to modern technology—was forecasted both well in advance and during the tornado outbreaks.

We knew exactly when to go to our tornado shelter because of the radio announcer’s commentary on the paths of the three tornadoes…
