Finally approaching!

At long last I can see graduation day in sight. On May 4th, I will be graduating from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan and I have been informed that I will be graduating magna cum laude! Not too bad for an "old" fossil, eh?! LOL. I know that you can't be here in person to share my joy, so thought I would send you the link so that you can see it live via your computer. Ain't modern technology grand!

Hard to believe that I started this journey in 2007…

I'm Baaaaack!!!

Talk about a roller-coaster day! WOW! Was awaken at 9 a.m. by my next door neighbor calling to wish me good luck with the book signing. She was upset, however, that she didn't find the "blurb" in the paper saying where and when. I told her don't feel bad, I never found it either. Apparently we were both looking in the wrong spot as later when I got to the bookstore she found it and gave it to me. I thought that was so sweet and now that I was awake, might as well get up. Truth be told I did…

They're Here!!

Returned from a visit to Virginia to see my dad who is in the end stages of Alzheimers. Had a nice visit and even had my son drive from Maryland to see his granddad. That was a nice surprise. It took 2 days to get there and 2 days to get back so our visit lasted only 3 days in order to give hubby a chance to rest before he goes back to work on Monday and his sister and mom arrive from Arizona.

When we returned, our neighbor greeted me with a box and I thought they were my text books…

Having just too much fun!

Well I have been one busy lady over the past week. Have finished putting on the "first" coat of paint to the exterior of my home (changed from an ugly faded salmon pink to white with black trim), and am working on cleaning the inside. In between the painting and the cleaning, I had a wedding to photograph and it was quite lovely on the shores of Lake Huron in Oscoda, Michigan. Have a little sunburn from that, but worth it. Now preparing for MIL and SIL visit on the 1st and this will happen…

Another colour inspired article!

I love how people look, and how they see, colour. Such an inspiration to see how others use colour, especially in the fabric arts. Huggie says it so well.

A baby on the way

Today my one and only daughter called so excited I thought she had one the Lotto. She has, she is going to have a BABY! We are so thrilled.
We have two grandsons, and yes I cannot help but to say we would love a little bundle of PINK. However, as we all know as grandparents in waiting, the gift to always pray for and ask for is health and happiness for the new baby and mother. Baby quilts patterns were are you!

Just a quick post...on Jeff...on new situations... and about pictures and a 80 year old quilt!

Hi everyone! Just hours ago I was stressed, as just to many places to be and such at the same time. Then I had a good chat with God, and I was letting the whole situation go. Why worry? Somehow, God always comes into my space and truly helps me. I just forget this at times...

Much later tonight, my husband told me he would be coming home earlier this week. Just one night. He told me...to go to the hospital for my test on Monday morning. He said, he will get up at 4:00 am and take Jeff to… Continue
