Merry Christmas Banner

I chose the “Merry Christmas” wall hanging from Nancy Halvorsen’s Ho Ho Ho Let it Snow for my project this year.  Having just moved into a brand new home, I’m not sure where all my Christmas treasures will fit, so my solution is to make new treasures to fit with the old…

Gifty Galore Pack 'n Go Tote

There are so many projects in Fresh Fabric Treats that would be such fun to make for gifts, that I had a bit of a hard time choosing just one.  For my "Gifty" project, I chose the Pack 'n Go Tote, made from 2-1/2" strips and I chose Jubilee Garden for the fabrics.…

Pineapple Pin Cushion

OK, I totally spaced the need to blog about the Pineapple Pin Cushion that Mari designed for me! I just love anything pineapple, and have many in a fun collection. The day Mari was making decisions on the pin cushions she was going to include in the Gifty Galore selection, I told her they were all great, but she needed to come up with a pineapple. By the end of the day, there was indeed a pineapple in the group! Then I got to test the pattern and have one for my very own. It goes together like… Continue

Update on Beach Fun w/ Stash Builder Sampler

I took a couple photos of the beach fun projects in their new home at the beach. I decided that the placemats were safer on the end tables and in the center of the table than letting people put plates on them and eat. Then the table runner was just what was needed on the coffee table under the big bowl of shells.…

Beach fun with a Stash Builder Sampler

Here at Connecting Threads, we were given a little challenge to pick one of the new Stash Builder Samplers and make a project or 2 with them. The one I chose is the Fat Quarter version of the Ecosystem Sampler. The colors are perfect for some beach house projects I've been wanting to make.

I made 4 placemats and a table runner. The placemats are a pattern in…

Thanks for the BD Wishes!

Thanks all for the birthday wishes - had a great day, only worked 1/2 of it, then off to do fun stuff. My brand new DIL cooked dinner complete with a fresh coconut cake! I think it stressed her out a bit, as she says she doesn't want to cook again for a year! Good thing my son is capable, or I'd have to worry about them starving!

Thanks again!

On a roll!

It was time for the snowman wall hanging to go away, after all the daffodils are blooming and spring is officially here. So, I dug out my favorite book folk art favorites from the Joined at the Hip gals and pounded out the spring wall hanging. The star hanger it's hanging from is one I've had for a long time and I love it!…
