Has anyone else had their friends list on their page deleted? I had three pages and now I only have 6 people on it.

I'm sitting here like a bump on a log. It's 6 a.m. and I hope I get more ambition then I have right now. I haven't had time this week to work on my quilt. Hope to make some progress on it today. Yesterday I cleaned out the fridge. I found stuff in the freezer that had been there so long that a package of chicken looked like dried Cod. And the pork chops looked the same. I need to go get my meat the day I want to cook it. There are three stores within walking distance so I have no excuse to…

I hope you all are escaping the Covid 19. Here in Calais we haven't had any cases but we wear masks, gloves and stay home as much as we can. I hope this pandemic will blow over soon so we can get our lives back to normal. I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever see normal again. Down State has has quite a few cases but it's more populated and nearer to other States. Our bridge into Canada has been closed for months.
I keep busy. I have a neighbor who needs help with cleaning her…

I'm getting a bit tired of not visiting my neighbors, friends and family. So far only one case in my county. But the threat is always in my mind. I'm making face masks. The quilt I started is taking a back seat for now. Every time I go to the store (which is not a lot) I look like a lab tech. with my mask, rubber gloves and my coat on. I will be glad to shed all three. To keep me occupied when not sewing is watching comedians on the computer. I happened to get one of Foster Brooks the other…

This Corona virus is making it's way here. We have a few cases of this down state but so far none here in Calais. Everything is closed except WM and two grocery stores and gas stations. I'm getting some Spring cleaning done and making progress in the sewing room during this quarantine. I'm praying that we all stay healthy and get through this.

Sitting here resting up from doing alterations all day. With the wind blowing the snow we got yesterday around I haven't ventured out in this 9 degree weather except to move my car for the plow. My next projects are to make myself a kitchen curtain ( I have the valance done) and another mixer cover for a client. And then get back to quilting until more work comes in. My goal is to make four of my grandchildren a quilt (the other three got theirs last year) and one for both my son's. Two are…

A lady wanted a crazy quilt pillow with only three colors. It didn't look good so I ended up doing this. If she don't like it I will sell it to someone else.

I find it hard to wrap my head around the fact that it's Thanksgiving already. I have two invitations to go to dinner but have decided to stay off the roads. We are getting our first blizzard. Tomorrow I will dig my Christmas trimmings out of my locker and decorate for Christmas. Have a blessed day.

In 2001 I started a chapter of the American Sewing Guild. A few years later we came out of the guild as their fee each year kept going up and some of our members couldn't afford it. Not to mention we couldn't get people to fill the necessary positions that were required. So we decided to come out of the Guild and just do our own thing. We named our group The St, Croix Stitchers. We have only had 6 members the past couple of years and some have been having health issues. Last Sat. I was the…

I posted the quilt I just finished. The file was too large for this area so you can view it on my pictures. I finished it last night at 12:30.

Just checking in. It's nice to see some posts on here. I'm hoping to get a Sunbonnet Sue quilt finished. I have the blocks done but customer orders keep me busy and during the Summer I spend a lot of time out doors so getting anything finished is difficult. Now that Fall is here I won't be outside as much and will have more time to work on my projects. I need to make a quilt for my bed. My quilt is faded, thread bare and needs to be thrown out. And the cats claws are not helping. I'm also…

I'm sitting here thinking it's been 11 years since I have been on QWU. I found out about this site through a flyer that came in the mail in 2008. I joined along with many others. Each day they posted members birthday until the members got to be too many to post. I have enjoyed viewing the the beautiful quilts of the many talented lady's on this site. And the many variations of of quilts I have seen. I was a new quilter when I joined QWU and was amazed seeing all this talent displayed. I…

I'm so excited to tell you the women who's been renting my house decided to buy it. We did the closing today. This has been a burden on me for a long time.

It is a nice sunny morning here in the East but very cold. Good weather to sit and sew. But lately I have found that other things have been chewing up my time and keeping me from my sewing room. I'm working on another baby quilt. I have a lot of UFO's to finish once these quilts are done.
I'm enjoying the quilting guild that I joined a year ago. We have a page on F B. It's called St. Croix International Quilters. Lots of pictures to see.
I belong to three sewing groups. I get…
