Day of reckoning

I know your all dying to find out how the "hair clippers worked". Yesterday dh asked me to give him a haircut but I skirted the issue by saying I was too busy to do it.  I told him I would cut it today. Hoping he'd forget. After lunch he said, "I don't suppose you can cut my hair". I didn't know whether to lie and say I was too busy or tell him the truth. I opted to do neither. I said O.k. so off to the kitchen we went.  To my surprise the clippers work just fine and I decided never to tell… Continue

Storm missed us.

Just to let you all know that when the topical storm got into Southern Maine it veered to the North and missed us here in the East, except for spurts of heavy rain and strong winds. We are still getting the winds today but we are getting sunny skies. I do feel sorry for those who lost loved ones, experienced flooding, wind damage and loss of power. You are on my prayer list.  Now that I'm not glued to the weather channel, my life has been back to normal today.

I actually made a purse for myself. At guild on Sat. we had a UFO day so I took my purse that I had cut out a few weeks ago out of fabric I got on the Spring Shop Hop. Then on Sunday a lady gave me a piece of fabric she no longer wanted. I squared it up and put a rolled hem on it and I think it made a pretty table topper. Even though these projects were small and "no brainers" I enjoyed doing them. …

Back to Square one

The deal with my son and his wife has fallen through. I called a hault to it this week. My son is on the road all week trucking so I have had to deal with his wife.  She has been in charge of everything and impossible to work with.  I gave them the lowest price I could, as it was my son and then she beat me down another $16,00.  I gave in and accepted the lower offer against my better judgement. Then she was slow to get things moving. Finally I thought everything was coming to  close when it…
