Just to let you all know that when the topical storm got into Southern Maine it veered to the North and missed us here in the East, except for spurts of heavy rain and strong winds. We are still getting the winds today but we are getting sunny skies. I do feel sorry for those who lost loved ones, experienced flooding, wind damage and loss of power. You are on my prayer list. Now that I'm not glued to the weather channel, my life has been back to normal today.

I actually made a purse for myself. At guild on Sat. we had a UFO day so I took my purse that I had cut out a few weeks ago out of fabric I got on the Spring Shop Hop. Then on Sunday a lady gave me a piece of fabric she no longer wanted. I squared it up and put a rolled hem on it and I think it made a pretty table topper. The deal with my son and his wife has fallen through. I called a hault to it this week. My son is on the road all week trucking so I have had to deal with his wife. She has been in charge of everything and impossible to work with. I gave them the lowest price I could, as it was my son and then she beat me down another $16,00. The American Sewing Guilds community service project across the nation for this year, is pillows for the PAINTED TURTLE CAMP. the 6th addition fo the Paul Newman family of HOLE IN THE WALL CAMP. Read more about the camp on www.thepaintedturtle.org These pillow cases ( thousands of them) will be shipped to Calif., stuffed and given to children attending the camp.
