Monday...means back to school

Well it's Monday and for me that means 'back to school'. I'm thankful it's just part-time for the summer, that way I know I'll be able to complete my Hwork and still have time to deal with the house, feed the hungry teenagers and still have time to quilt. I'm so glad I"ve joined this community where the quilting bug is going strong!

Stack and Whack quilting

I need some advice on quilting my Stack-n-whack quilt that is labeled Melody in my photos. I just keep walking around it trying to decide the best way to quilt it. I'm thinking...stitch in the ditch (ugh) for the sashings and borders..and meandering the blocks, setting triangles, and borders. I guess I really want to do clamshells on the triangles but don't want it any busier than it already is. I just know someone is going to yes..stitch in the ditch....

Well it's Fathers Day

Well it's Father's Day and I hope everyone's having a peaceful day. I'm lucky enough to be able to call mine and wish him a happy day even though he's not in the area. He always makes me smile. He's selfless and loving and has had a hard life. He always has a chuckle in his voice when we talk, trying to let me know he's doing okay. Always supportive in what I'm doing and shares in my joys and sorrows. He's a great dad!
