I finally finished the last quilt that I posted a picture of. Although the top is done I won’t be able to quilt it until I can get the baking and battling pinned together which I did try to do but in an RV with very little room it didn’t come together very well. So it’s bagged up and I’ll be putting it in storage until I can get it done. In the mean while I’ve been trying to make up my mind on which quilt to make next I have the picture below of 6 different quilt designs that I like…

I don’t know how I manage this but I love these colors. The block isn’t done yet. I still have another round of triangles to put on this but it’s looking good

I may be crazy but it works for me. I decided to fill the border of my broken arrow quilt with another calligraphy design. Yes I know they look like a jigsaw puzzle but they will all come together for a 96 inch border

So I've been trying to decide if I want to hand quilt one of the tops I posted previously. It was the broken arrow quilt. I also posted pictures of the calligraphy designs I wanted to use. I recently traced the calligraphy designs on some muslin fabric and stitched it out. Looked pretty good. The problem now is how to transfer the designs to the quilt. I know it wouldn't be much of a problem for me except for the fact that I already have the quilt sandwiched and ready to quilt. It was…

Yes it was driving me crazy trying to make these blocks. I haven’t done curved piecing in quite a while and the straight cut blocks weren’t exactly symmetrical either. But the top is almost finished. I just need to work on the border pieces and it will be done. Oh and this one is mine. Not going to give this one away. Lol Sorry I don’t know why it keeps trying to post picture sideways…

As many of you know I’ve been living in a RV which of course means very confined space. I have finally worked out a way to work on my quilts. This is the the last of 3 blocks to make before I can piece the quilt top together.

Hello everyone. Yes we’ve all had a rough month with this virus, I hope everyone is well. I’ve been working (yes I work at a grocery store), until today anyway. I’ve been having problems with my left wrist over the last few days. This morning when I went to work it just seemed like it was getting worse so I went home. It took a while but I finally got in to see a doctor. Turns out I have tendinitis. A wrist brace and meds and a week off work I am finally home but what to do for a week?…

I promised to post the picture of the quilt I was repairing for my daughter. I made this some 30 years ago from a pattern in a magazine. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the pattern. The repairs were to the cream colored borders. For some reason the fabric where I had hand stitched the quilting had caused the fabric to start ripping. I didn't have the cream colored floral print I originally used but I do have the blue fabric which as it turned out I didn't need to use. …

Just dropped in to say hi to everyone. Not much new is going on. I've been working on repairing DD's quilt that I make for her decades ago. Sounds horrible that way but it was one of the first quilts I made. Once I get finished with it, I will take it to DD's house and take a picture of it to show everyone. I will be working on thanksgiving day as usual so to all I wish a happy thanksgiving day.

I went to work yesterday and had a runny nose all morning. I finally gave up and came home at lunch time. So my boss does know that I am sick and never questions my missing time which by the way is only the 6th or 7th time I've ever called out sick in nearly 20 years of work. After spending yesterday and all night in bed the last thing I want to do is go back to bed but not quite well enough to go to work. So what does one do when your sick and bored?
We are still living in the RV…

I gave my new embroidery machine a run for it's money last night. Now I'm sure every one has an idea of what I am making for my grandson. So far Mario and Bowser are finished. I still have several more characters to stitch out but I will be getting them done within the month.…

As some of you know I have been trying to make a quilt for my grandson. The quilt part is finished but I needed to make some embroidered designs to applique onto the quilt. I had a singer quantum 6000 that I loved but the special bobbin for rewinding the bobbin thread broke and I couldn't find any online anywhere. So that machine went bye-bye and I bought a Brother PE800 machine. Well I have been trying and trying and trying to get my designs to stitch out without much luck. Yesterday…

Life in an RV is a little to cramped for me. I have been working on a few things. Besides buying a sitdown quilting machine, I also bought a new embroidery machine. I've been working on some designs that I hope to get embroidered soon. It's the quilt I've been planning for Aiden for the last couple years. I've got the designs ready and hoping the in-laws will let me use their dinning table to work on. If that works out I just might get the quilt finished in time for Christmas. My…

congrats to BJ on her quilt touring the country and to Pam for her post as well. As for me, well I am sitting in a small RV. We finally sold the house. My other half is still waiting for L & I to do something about his back. We didn't get as much out of our house as we expected to due to some shifty work by the mortgage company. I am still working but between the 2 of us we just aren't getting enough to afford even an apartment in our area. Because this RV is so small, I just don't…

Finally finished the quilt for grandson Aiden. He picked out the floral print and the white fabric in the center of the blue blocks. Sense they didn't quite go together I came up with this design and used the fabrics Aiden liked. I hope that I will be able to get this quilted before christmas. I start this project using a light blue that I ran out of after making half the blocks I needed. Once I found the turquoise color I decided to start over and worked out the quilt below. As for…

The picture below is a pair of blocks I've been working on. the dark blue with the white center is only one of three different blocks that will be in the quilt. It may take me a while to finally get all the blocks put together but then I do have until christmas to get it finished. LOL Seems to me I said that about another quilt that I am working on for my grandson. still not finished with that one either. The 2nd picture is the first row of blocks to be put together.…

I bought a new Brother sewing machine almost 2 years ago. I've been working on the applique project posted earlier. Suddenly the darn machine doesn't want to work right. I tried cleaning lint out, changed bobbin, re-threaded I don't know how many times to no avail. I called the store that I bought it from and they said I could bring the machine in and that they would look at it. I asked how much sense it was over a year old. $179.00 Hummmmm I'll fix it myself thank you very much. …

Design clipart from the internet. Redesigned in my EQ7 program and cut out on my cricut cutter. Ironed on to my current quilt block. Now all I have to do is stitch them down and finish my quilt. This just opened up a ton of Ideas. HONEY I need more fabric!!!!…

I've been on vacation this week and while trying to work on the house I also found time to try and work on my quilt. The picture below is the never gonna make it again quilt on the new floor in our living room. Everything was going great until I walked around and discovered that the backing on the far end of the quilt was not long enough. I probably could have stretched the backing more but I wasn't in the mood. I had already taped the backing to the floor and laid everything out and…
