Finally went to the Sewing Expo

The Sewing Expo is at the Washington State Fairgrounds through sunday and I finally got to go!

For  years I've always worked the weekends and was too tired to go to the shows after work.  My boss changed the schedule some time ago so that I could baby sit Aiden on Fridays when my daughter needed me to.  He tried to get me to work today but the joke was on him.  It was my day to babysit and he knew that he couldn't force the issue.  So it was Aidens big day out.

Practice, Practice, Practice, who has time to Practice?

Finally something to show for what I've been trying to get done with my projects.  I decided to make a pillow sham with the left over material I had from the quilt top I posted before.  I've had the top part of the pillow done for quite some time but I feel so lost without my longarm machine.  I have the brother 1500 mid arm but I've not faired so well with the quilting on this machine.  I've been afraid to start quilting on this for fear of ending up with a mess that would take me forever…

It snowed! :o(

Ok not as life threatening as back east but 6 inches is enough to make me want to stay home.  Sense I couldn't do that, I got the other half up and filled with coffee for the morning rush to my work.  I guess morning rush would be an over statement, it was us the plows a few police cars and the only other people crazy enough to be driving around a 4am.  All things considered it wasn't that bad. Main roads had plenty of salt and deicer on them, its just the other drivers that make me nervous…
