Good evening to all, yesterday I got the stripes put on the WIP. After I started looking at it, it would make a great baby quilt/blanket. But sence I don't have any kids at home and I've already made the quilt for my niece I guess I'll be keeping this one. I have the outside blocks to finish up and sew on and it will be done. On my last blog someone asked what the name of the pattern was. I have no idea sense I haven't gotten as far as naming the pattern. So having confessed that I shoot… Continue

It has been a somewhat quiet day here, except for those darn puppies. I posted a picture before of the quilt blocks that I had been putting together and I thought now would be a good time to post another. This is the center of the quilt. I will be putting border stripes around these 9 blocks and then adding another row of blocks around the border. Not to bad.. (patting myself on the back).…

It's my friday. Things got interesting this afternoon. The BF kept sending me pictures of his temperature gauge inside his truck while he was in califorina. The outside temp hit 100 degrees. The good news is yes he does have air conditioning in his truck but the bad news is, he can't run his truck. By law in Califorina you can not idle your truck over night to run the airconditioning. You have to have an alternate power source which they provide you at the truckstops at $20.00 a night, the… Continue

I just thought everyone would like to see what I did to the design of Rylies quilt that I'm working on. I still have the original on the longarm but I had enough material to make a second and this is how it looks so far.

Bet you thought this would be something exciting about quilts or material. Nope. Just took Stitch back to the vets office to get his stitch out from the surgery he had two weeks ago for his infection. They removed the stitches and said that he is doing very well. So back onto the auction block for the puppies. So if anyone knows someone looking for Yorkies please let me know. I really do want them to go to good homes. As much as I would like to keep them, we have too many. These babies are… Continue

This being my weekend I finally decided to get some serious house cleaning done today. As many of you know we have the puppy herd here. Keep in mind, I really have tried to keep the beasts confined to one area but Zeus the retriever opens all doors which is why I have the second litter of little devils. So there is Zeus the retiever, Yoda, pappa yorkie, Ivy, momma yorkie, yes I still have Pearl, who by comparison is much calmer than her younger siblings, lilo and stitch. All six dogs have… Continue

Yep just got my order from CT. I ordered a few Batiks. I thought they might be too dark for the next project I have in mind but looking at them in person, I think they are just perfect colors.
I wish I could order more but not for a while. My little fella yorkie seems to be growing his golf ball size infection back again. I have some meds that I am giving him hoping that will cure him but tomorrow if he isn't better, off we go to the vets again.

Ok I confess, I was afraid to start quilting the quilt on my LA. I've had so many issues with that machine. I was right, I had some today but I figured them out and got things going. I've done two whole blocks on the quilt. It wasn't so bad. It could be tons better if this dang machine wasn't so wobbly when you start out moving it slowly. I know this is for my niece and she doesn't care but I do. It doesn't matter at this point how much practice I have, I need to do something to the machine to… Continue

What ever can go wrong does go wrong, in my house any way.
For those of you who haven't had the lobstah dinner or dinner yet I won't be posting pictures. I will just let your imaginations run-a-muck here. Last night while holding the little male yorkie I noticed that his right side of his face looked a little swollen. This morning I checked him and still swollen but he was eating and so forth. This afternoon when I got home from work, OMG he looked like he had the mummps on one side… Continue

I'm not sure but this may just be a record for me. I do believe that it's taken me just about a month to make this quilt top. No you can not make bets as to how long it will take to actually quilt the top as I have no idea what kind of pattern to quilt into this. I've added more photos to my page if you would like to take a look and have ANY ideas for a quilt design for this one.…
