As some of you know I've been moved to the garage. I've been organizing my things and decided to spend a little time with my longarm machine. I have had this love -hate relationship with this machine. I love what it can do, but I hate that it hadn't been doing what it was suppose to. A few weeks ago I called the store and they arranged to have the techs come to the house instead of me once again bringing the machine to them. The guys showed up and I showed them how bad this machine was working.… Continue

Well for better or worse I have been moved out of what I called my sewing room. I have been relocated to the garage. I'm not really complaining you see because it is enclosed and panelled with a raised floor off the cement, the best part is that it is a double car garage. :)) I will forever be explaining to the man how in the world all my stuff would have fit in that little dinky bedroom. Now all I need to get is a TV and coffee pot, the other half wouldn't see me for months at a time. I have… Continue

Good evening from the land of the eternal heat wave, the pacific northwest.
I am hoping that someone out there has a Tin Lizzie longarm machine. I would really like to exchange information about the machine. I've only had mine sence December and it seems like all I do is take it to the store to be sent back to the shop. I am having a very difficult time with mine and I'm trying to figure out if its me or the machine!!!!!
Drop me a line, I check the blog everyday.

Earlier this month I posted about trying to make a circle larger than the plates I have on the shelf. The answer was the yard stick with a twist. My other half suggested getting a yard stick and drilling holes for the size of the circles I wanted. This of course lead to the discussion of adding the seam allowance ect, ect. Ok I got the yard stick, he went camping. Because of the injury to my shoulder, the yard stick sat on the table. He has now returned and eyed the yard stick all evening. A… Continue

Horay, the other half is off to work and then camping for the weekend!!!! Ok yes I will miss him but he just doesn't understand what it takes to make a quilt. I've tried to explain to him why I really do need to use the dinning room table while sewing, (he didn't go for the fact that it was closer to the coffee pot!). I am not real big on being in small rooms, and I've always used the dinning room table when making the quilt tops, he was warned about this when we were going out. Then there is… Continue

Congrads on the new family members both baby and puppy.
Ok time for thinking caps my friends. I recently posted a note about not being able to quilt because of a shoulder injury. The darn thing is taking way too long to heal, it doesn't help that I am also impatient. So I have decided to design my own quilt. I have the basic plan on paper. I am trying to make a template to scale of what I want. My problem currently is trying to draw circles that are larger than eight inches. I have… Continue

Hi to all. I just got on to see what everyone is doing and caught the pic of our little helpers. I couldn't help but laugh. Mine aren't the helpful kind (thank god). They wait for the finished project and then the test drive!!!! This is Ivy. I no sooner spread the quilt out to admire my handy work and there she was. The quilt is from one of the magazines I get and was made for my daughter. It is also the only one that I have been able to work on in… Continue

Happy fathers dad to those with that someone special. Ok today turned out to be more than my other half was expecting!! I work weekends while the other half has weekends off. Today he called at 11am or so to tell me his daughter had a baby. I thought this was great news once I realized this wasn't a practical joke. I was wrong. After two hours of calling back and forth I still hadn't been able to convience him to call his daughter at the hospital much less go see her. She's not married(Not a… Continue
