HI, QWU Friends, last Thurdsay I had what in medical terms it s Anterior Cervical Fusion, but if I understand it correctly, I had blown my C4 and C5 disc's in my neck, they took them out cleaned around in there, filed down spurs in there and what ever else needed to. Have any of you gotten your April issue of American Patchwork Quilting? There is a quilt in there that is gorgeous!! It is named Cameo Appearance!! OH MY Heavens, I love it. I have tried to find something similar in the folk art fabric but haven't found anything yet and I don't want to spend the money on the kit. Maybe after income tax time, we have to pay a bundle this year> YUCK!!! I would love to find a panel though of the folk…
As you can see our family has grown since the 4th of July. Sewing has been out of the question. I sleep when they nap!! …Continue

As all of you know, when you make something or buy something, one things leads to another and another and another. After finishing my block swap quilt that is on my bed in the picture, then I wanted to put it on my bed but nothing matched. I asked my son if he would paint my bedroom and put beadboard on the ceiling. For about the last 2 months ds has been coming…Continue

I finished Jacob's "Big Sky Lodge" quilt yesterday. This was the rag quilt kit sold on CT's. It hasn't been washed yet so the frayed part on the back doesn't have that wonderful look yet that it gets after washing but still turned out really well. I shook…Continue

It has been several years since I was in a small town quilt shop and this quilt top was in a row of other quilt tops that people needing money had sold to them. This top caught my eye and the sweet lady sold it to me for what she paid for it. I picked it up…Continue

I have had a couple of comments on my new profile picture, one word was "Elegant". That made me giggle!!
Thought I would have a little fun with it for a while. Our dgs, Jacob turned 11 that day and we had all gone out to eat Mexican. Well "Granny", that's me, grabbed the waiters arm and told him that it was dgs's b'day. In a little bit they all came out singing, put the big hat on his head and dotted his face with whipped cream. He was not a happy camper. He did not make a scene…Continue
Several of you requested pics of the other quilt tops I bought. This one is actually on one of my beds right now. We use it all the time. I was thrilled when I realized that this paisley green fabric would work for the backing. I bought it cause I loved it…Continue
This quilt is one of 5 quilt tops that I picked up at an out of business sale for decorator fabrics. I offered the woman $100.00 for all 5 of them, she declined, I left my number and she called me back several days later and sold them to me for my price. I…Continue
Hello to everyone!! I have not been on QWU much these past few weeks. Quiet has been my friend of late!! I have been spending most of my time playing with these crazy, silly, funny, curious, loving puppies!!!!! It sure didn't take them long to become best friends and the pitter patter of little feet go everywhere I go and then some!! I still miss Mr Man and Precious and have my moments but they will always live on in my heart!! Christmas was quiet here, no visitors, just dh and myself. …Continue
We got "Ginger" home yesterday!! 300 miles round trip, she was a great rider but so afraid and timid. I have been very patient and in 24 hours, what a difference!!! She is using her potty pads, playing with Skeeter, eating her food, and crying after me!! She has very long legs for a Toy Poodle. Once her body grows into her legs she won't be all legs but when she is standing you see those legs. Her original owner named her "Ginger" and I wanted to change it to "Gracie" before I met her,…Continue
